Pretty sure nearly every club in the AFL welcomes back good players after they do things wrong. They are paid to win flags and you can’t do it without your big game players and if you sack them, someone else will take them with open arms.
As would be expected, WC lost, they stayed in it for a good chunk of the game but the youngsters tired which is not surprising.
Gold Coast were ok and the margin flattered them in the end, any decent team would have won by 60-80 points. Will be a tough start to the season for WC until they get some games into their 10 or so injured first picks. Young Jones looks very classy, excellent finisher.
Noticed Nic Nat, Willie Riolli and Mcgovern had a bit of extra baggage in the gut area. Not ideal rd 1 condition in my opinion.
Nic Nat and Riolli didnt seem to get around the ground well at all. Mcgovern did his usual roll off defending though.
Yeah, wins are going to be hard to come by until the cavalry return. North Melbourne next week provides an opportunity
So did they decide if this flog was vaxxed or not? Did they give him some BS medical exemption?
Looks as though the Eagles will give him a run this week depending on how he pulls up.
