Integrity Officer

Just asking for a friend,
Who is the Integrity officer atm at the PFL?

Would appear as though since Brendan Kays has left, all integrity matters are dealt with by the GM.

unsure if this is to do with the community tribunals all being handled by a centralised WAFC panel now. Perhaps all integrity matters are dealt with there too?

Thanks Highpants,

Was not aware he had ‘left’.

He was certainly still being advertised as the so called Integrity officer (lol) at commencement of 2023 season?

Highpants do you know when he left?

I don’t believe the member clubs have been notified of the staff change or new procedure in place with the GM being the new contact?

What is the legacy of the outgoing CIO?

The PPS (introduced in 2019) has to an extent ensured a level of integrity in the men’s competition. It is however, desperately needed in the women’s competition, some of these results across all grades of the competition and the frequent transfer of players is a joke.

The fact that only one club ( a smaller c4 club at the time) have been charged with a breach of the amateur status by laws in the past 6 years. Whether this particular club were actually guilty has also been extensively debated on this forum for a number of years.
Picking the low hanging fruit, while seemingly turning a blind eye to what goes on in the purple circle of some A and B grade clubs who undoubtedly breach the guidelines definitely comes to mind.

Highpants
you have captured it almost perfectly.

The only issue …is not all A and B grade clubs were favoured.
In fact some seem to have been targeted to the benefit of others!

Nothing will ever happen as long as the integrity commission /officer is aligned to an “A” grade club and while the player in question gets 2 yrs. playing suspension.
Put in someone who is not aligned anywhere and remove the players suspension and watch the carnage!

There is still a need for an Integrity Officer!!!

B/man,
Going fwd then…I would suggest ‘Integrity’ being the key word!
