To my mind, we’ve only lost two very good footballers, as opposed to about 8 the previous year.
A couple of our ‘ins’ might be the goods.

I’ve been watching a fair bit of Tristan Gum playing for Sturt on youtube. He was an outstanding player over there, in a comp which at the moment is probably 10/15% better than ours.

He could be a very good addition for us. 134 League games for the Double Blues, so he has the credentials. Hope he stays fit.

Yeah, mate of mine used to post on footygoss has seen him play recently. Liked him a lot and thought he might offer some strength in the midfield.

Good work. He has the skills from what I’ve seen and the bigger WA grounds will suit him. Some of those SANFL grounds are tiny…except maybe for Elizabeth..but even that isn’t quite the same.

In WA we could put the goalposts on the wings and still fit a 50m arc in between the centre square at most grounds. (Probably not Fremantle Oval)

Age is against him but with some luck he can deliver 2 years of top grade footy.

Rory was just too injury prone.

Jimmy is a difficult one…a difference of opinion that can’t be resolved.

Jimmy was one of the best colts players we have had in the last 3 years but it’s a conflict of personalties that can’t be fixed unfortunately.

I hope he doesn’t go to WP but couldn’t blame him if he did.

Yes he looks good. Interestingly Herring played in the same team & was rated one of their best up & comers…

Marc Stinga Re left half way through the year due to lack of opportunity.
Worked really hard to get back after breaking his leg the previous season

  • was arguably the best in the ressies each week but not getting a league game.
    Went to play with Jordy Adamson-Holmes and a few other ex-Subi players with
    Bunbury Bulldogs and had an absolute birthday. Apparently dominated in the 1st semi and prelim - kicked 11 goals.

I guess Chop, not all good young players are going to make it.

I suppose since 2011 we’ve only lost 3 very good U/21 prospects.

Dom Sheed, Rhys Waters, Justin Joyce, Buddy Pickett, Chris DeLuca Cardillo, Dan Leishman, James Garcia, Simon Moore, Charlie Le Fanu, Matt Bogensperger, David Madut, Cam Wohling, Myles Smythe, Dylan Clarke, Baldave Singh, Craig Hoskins, Bill Fetherstonhaugh, Mitch Harvie, Joel Ashman, Eddie Hill, Nathan Caccamo, Kyle Halligan, Alex Sheed, Luke Norriss, Christian Bottecchia and Stuart Berryman. (Well, Leishman is a bit older than 21 but a newcomer to WAFL footy)

What a exceptional group coming through together. If just half those blokes fulfill their potential we are in for some good times ahead.

Some absolutely amazing Colts/17’s/16’s/15’s in the system too. We have arguably the best, second best and fifth best 16 year olds in the state. But don’t want to look too far ahead. Long way to go for those blokes.
