Hudl Camera's

hey peeps,

just feeling out any clubs on here about the Hudl camera’s. Love the idea but so far I’m severely disappointed and I think its going to come down to the product. I’ve seen the Veo 3 footage and it looks so much better.

Who has got some decent footage out of Hudl consistently on a decent sized ground? so far after 4 weeks I’ve seen just 1 decent video and even then it wasn’t what you call great. If you haven’t seen the Veo footage you might think its good but the Veo product so far proving to be far better and I honestly didn’t rate the Veo 2 at all. Veo 3 they have sorted it out.

Happy to hear any tips to getting it right where its actually considered great footage.

cheers

We looked at Veo, Hudl & Pixellot a few years back.

Veo was the only one which could film Aussie Rules effectively with the other two focusing on smaller field sports and indoor court sports. Hudl were open about Aussie Rules being a small market when compared to basketball, soccer and American football for their camera technology and more specifically developing the right algorithm’s to film Aussie rules effectively.

Hudls software was far better than the other options and can be synced with live GPS and other player data for elite level sports.

AFL and WAFL clubs use Hudl software with vision from fixed position cameras behind the goals and another camera on the wing following the footy to cut vision for team and player reviews so I’d presume the PFL chose Hudl because the AFL and WAFL have pre-existing contracts?

Sounds like Hudl still need to do some work on the algorithms that run their remote AI cameras.
