Did Harley live up to the hype? Only seen highlights but looks classy everything he does and not afraid of the physical stuff. Copped a fine in his first game apparently. Does that rule him out of Rising Star nomination for that game and the award which you’d think barring serious injury he’d be the clear favourite.
Eagles supporters? Any out there? 50 point drubbing but more worrying 40 scoring shots to 20, could have been a lot uglier and lost your co captain and No 1 forward for a while.
This will be another year of ‘anus horribilus’ as expected with a complete rebuild. There must be some sort of improvement by season’s end. They’ll finish up last or second last this year so they should pick up a couple of good, experienced players. Hopefully Gaff and Darling will be shown the door so that they aren’t holding up the young blokes. The improvement must really shine in 2026, or Simmo will, or should be terminated as well. If its status quo, Reid and a couple others will be planning their futures elsewhere.
I think they will be better than last year and cause a few upsets, particularly at home. Reid is an absolute gun.
