Harley Reid Cup

Nizzy might as well start looking for accommodation for the young lad. Might be Nizzy’s last act as CEO. 116 point loss to the previously equal bottom Hawks. FMD.

Maybe an alliance with Lathlain Park’s other tenant might help both parties turn things around quickly.

That might be something your club should consider Tim Tam. Considering your clubs financial position.

Regrettably we aren’t in the mix DD. Maybe its all that money you have stashed under the mattress at Mineral Resources that is making you such an attractive potential partner. That and an on field similarity with West Coast LOL.

Come on Tim Tam that would be the perfect match for your beloved Eagles and Old Easts. Your dream team. I’m sure Greg Evan’s and Dexter could organise the Perfect Match for you.

I gotta say, as an Eagles supporter, I’ll be a bit pissed when we take ownership of Perth Football Club. The last thing we need at the moment is to be affiliated with a perennial loser.

You carpet sharks are the real losers. Since you two losers have come here unprovoked with a nothing but gutless attack on my WAFL club, your WAFL club is probably the weakest in the WAFL financially, living on historical past glories before any of us were born when it was a compromised lop sided competition. And your AFL club is an absolute basket case.

So you two losers should stick to your own backyard instead of slagging off at a severely disadvantaged WAFL club, unlike your priveleged club. You better pray your fenceless new digs are up and running by March next year or it could be curtains. Do you want Korda Mentha’s phone number? ?

And lucky for you pair of flogs my WAFL club will provide your basket case AFL club with a saviour for your ruck deficiencies next year. Nizzies FOM will be busy scrambling to get picks together to match another clubs bid for Cohen Livingstone.

I feel for Simpson because I reckon he is an honest bloke who calls it as he sees it. I have never seen a football side with so many injuries and I think any review would have to investigate why this is happening.
Some list management decisions in the last few years have also contributed to the problem. The whole club from senior management down need to be accountable for this situation. Sacking the coach is not the answer. Some of the guys out there yesterday are either too young to be playing at this level or simply not up to it.
I think some tough decisions need to be made at the end of the season to let go some of the 2018 premiership players who are now on the injury list longer than on the park and start building with the young guys who are up to it. Hawthorn traded a lot of their stars to other clubs for draft picks and I think the Eagles need to go in the same way. It will be a lot of short term pain but this is probably a 5 year project to get them back into premiership contention.
Also I think the CEO has been there long enough and the club might benefit from having a fresh management and board

I tend to agree with you mike but hard decisions have to be made at that club. Simpson has been very loyal to his senior players who have either let him down on the fieid, some have just been crueled by injuries or not prepared themselves well enough. Some tough decisions need to be made.

I reckon they should have let Gaff go when he still had some currency. I think it was David King I heard say Gaff has the poorest kicking efficiency on the ground or he might have said for the season and that’s unusual for Andrew. Best they could hope for now is probably a third round pick for him.

Looks like they’ve got the No 1 pick sewn up. Do they take this kid the scouts are raving about or swap it for 2 first rounders and take the best locals? I think Fremantle did that a couple of years ago.

Not really sure was past club legends and the media are calling for Simpson to go. Show me any side with 13 of your best 22 out and see how they stack up. I get the list management, high performance stuff is part of his roll but he doesn’t have full control of that. I would think coaches like Voss would be under more pressure than Simpson. Close to full squad availability. 2 power forwards, plenty of good names on paper but no performing

Voss is certainly under pressure. I got a club email yesterday from Sayers saying he Voss has the boards support and that they are ignoring external narratives. Carlton has a weak board just like West Coast. They will wait to the end of season and having not made the finals again will move Voss on. They could act now and potentially save the season but they won’t. No one is playing well at Carlton at the moment except Charlie Curnow. The Pies dismantled us in 15 minutes on Sunday while he Curnow and our ruckman sat on the bench! But regarding West Coast Simpson should have been shown the door at the end of last season any coach that wins 2 out of 22 should.

Well put mike. Time to pay out NN and give Yeo the rest of this year to see if he’s going to be of any value. Gaff should be playing ressies, but lack of numbers is saving him. Surely Nisbett has to go, top brass don’t normally last this long and he’s past his use by date. I think there’s a couple more that have to go, but you don’t clean everyone out because you need old, calm heads for the younguns. They certainly have to manage the young lads or we’ll get another Horne-Francis bail out situation. The coach has to stay.
Still, if all of us are so clever, maybe we would be good AFL coaches.

It’s obvious who the petal is princess. Typical precious Wet Toast supporter takes some harmless banter to heart and plays the man and not the ball. Must be a pride swallowing experience for a spoilt Eagles supporter who is used to being able to take cheap shots at Fremantle supporters who’s club didn’t get the kick start privelege of basically starting life in a VFL comp with a what was essentially a state team out of a then much stronger WAFL.

But you can’t acknowledge that along with the Dockers much better list management than the Eagles over the last 3 or 4 years. Sleep tight princess.

NN is a great player but let’s face it he’s been a fat kent for far too long, anyone who can’t see that is delusional. That’s why he’s always breaking down, too heavy his body can’t handle it. A serious professional can control what goes in their mouth simple as that. It’s not hard to be lean even without any exercise. Weak mind, fuck him off

Certainly agree. I can’t understand why they gave him a 2 yr contract. Time to pay him out and pick up that young kid that rucks from Peelmantle. In fact, while they have the cheque book out, time to pay a couple more out. For me, Simmo stays. Anyway, who else is available…the spud digger?

I would continue the discussion, but OFA doesn’t like me derailing the topic or baiting you. So you win, you’re king of the castle

Here’s an idea Princess. This is a football discussion forum. Try responding to the football topic instead of getting your knickers in a twist. Just try replying to the topic for a change instead of derailing a topic by getting personal. It’s funny you mention OFA. It was OFA who reinstated a post of yours on the Fremantle thread that a previous moderator deleted a few years ago and made you a moderator on the EF board. Short memory.

Enjoy your holiday 58shark. You just can’t help yourself can you. I thought the some people would have gotten the message by now but apparently not.
