Are we allowed to talk about his ban? If so, what did he say? Also, if he was banned from PR, what was that all about? I missed the lot.
Shark, Grassy was banned about two months ago. I posted that he was banned and he wanted me to let the members know here on ozfooty. The topic was deleted the day after i posted it.
If I’m not mistaken I think OFA posted that grassy was banned and listed the reasons why. I’m not about to judge whether it was right or not as it’s nothing to do with me but I do miss his posts given he’s a passionate WAFL and Perth Demon man.

Yep, I asked the same question a few months back and the OFA replied that he was posting long rants which were basically hijacking the site and dominating topics. There was obviously personal issues between him and some other posters which often manifested with abusive comments on threads. OFA said that Grassy had received several warnings about this and chosen to ignore them. If you use this forum you need to comply with the conditions that are set by the owner. As I have said elsewhere this forum does give you significantly more leeway than a lot of others in termsof what we can say and I think we need to be mindful not to push the boundaries too far.
Yeah I missed it all as well, I had a break from the site at the start of summer and it looks like it happened then.
anyway I’m not surprised, last thing I recall was he copping a suspension with a warning of a total ban if it continued, they gave him a chance and he didn’t really learn from it. tbh it was becoming obvious from the disjointed confusing rambling rants that the deck was not quite full which is what 6pr picked up on as well.

I agree with your comments mike. I reckon I might have been pushing the boundaries a couple of times though. However, if you cop a warning and ignore it, well…
That blokes not playing with a full deck either.
Many other forums pounce on posters fairly quickly if any mis-behaving happens like:-
a) Posters replying to a certain subject and steering off the topic.
b) Blatant shit stirring
c) Becoming too unsavoury and verbally bad toward other posters.
I think OFA is far more lenient on this site. For example, some posters on here would have been given the flick ages ago if their ramblings happened on another well known footy site.
Far be it for me to complain as I’m not perfection.

I have to admit, when I saw a grassy post, I never read it. Never understood and didn’t care what he was on about.
As far as what is let go here, I think OFA has got it spot on. It’s a site where we can be ourselves and say what we think, to a certain point. I couldn’t and don’t post on a sterile site. I for one, hope the rules never get tightened. Well done OFA.
