One for our Racing Afficionados.
Did anyone hear Digby Beacham on Sport FM this morning?
What’s your take in what he said,in regards to a Positive swab on one of their stable(Starry Night?)last year in Bunbury?
Apparently pending an appeal from the pair, they have been stood down as Trainers until further notice.
Which for starters, the 27 runners they have racing this weekend, are not racing.
Would they have resorted to using that drug,if they were still the private trainers for Bob Peters???
Not sure to be honest.
Have you got a theory about it?
Didnt they have a couple of positives when they were training for Peters?
The stable foreman took the rap for one of them from memory!
If they did,I’d imagine it’ll get mentioned at a hearing.
To be honest,I’m more of an eastern states man BH,although I like to dabble with the Perth racing carnival, but I have noticed the Williams team success dryup, since they split with Peters,in the big group races anyway. So what do the betting sheets indicates for Starry nights, and how are team Williams doing financially since the big split???

Seems like their success dried up,but they still Won the Trainers’ Premiership on an Overall and Metropolitan basis, with a tally of 121 and 82 Wins respectively.
It probably just felt different,if that makes sense.

Why is this under General section when there is a Horse Racing section? Bit lazy?
Fair enough,it’s just the big races that have dried up.They must be going ok bottom line wise, because the split I’ve been told, was caused by Old Peters being a bit of a tight wad,and expecting rock bottom rates for Williams’s training fees.

Sorry,missed it.
But maybe, this matter goes past the WA Thoroughbred Industry?
I did say maybe.
Anyway, found the category you’re referring to,so next time a relevant issue ops up,I’lll post it there,if that makes you happy?
