If what I am watching in the second quarter is where our game is at then the game is in trouble. What a boring load of bullshit both sides are serving up. If I was at the game I would be demanding my money back.

Disgraceful pathetic football by both teams. And by the sounds of it the crowd feels the same way I do.

Until about 7 minutes to go it’s come to life but prior to that the most boring football I’ve ever seen.

Freo’s players that wont win this team a premiership.

  1. Darcy - over weight, over rated & over paid!!!
  2. Johnson - not up to it. Continually fumbles and is the turnover king!!!
  3. Emmett - not up to it. Offers little as a mid or forward.
  4. Fye - terrible kick & well past his best. Playing him for the sake of it.
  5. O’Meara - kicked a couple tonight but is too slow. Turns 31 next year.

In summary:
We don’t have the polish by foot to win a flag. The nucleus is there just need some more class.
Unload Darcy which will get us an elite player. I’d go for a quick midfielder as Brayshaw & Serong are not quick or elite by foot. Work on a 3 way deal to get Warner for Darcy?
Reidy can replace Darcy.
Erasmus is a better player Johnson.
Will Brodie can replace O’Meara.

Can’t have a midfielder who won’t/can’t kick. Fyfes disposal by foot isn’t great and he doesn’t seem to be covering the ground well.
Johnson needs to be sent back to the wafl with clear instructions on first options, too many times tries to beat or break tackles and gets caught or turns it over.
Playing the 2 rucks forced Voss out of the team. He presents as a good 3rd forward option, presents well in the air and on the ground. I thought unlucky to be dropped.
And yes we need to find some pace through the middle. Young, serong and brayshaw have been fantastic but need someone explosive to compliment them.
