Haha maybe OFA was not impressed with him acting as Subi’s 12th man BC? Or maybe not impressed with him questioning the authority of the administrator to make judgements on who can and can’t use this forum. Unbelievable really some people think it’s their god given right to dish out criticism of a forum that’s provided free of charge yet question the rights of the site owner and administrator. That’s how the others have fallen I would say. It’s no wonder the previous owners were about to pull the plug and previous forums bit the dust.
I always thought Freezin was pretty measured in his posts and stirred a bit but not to the extent of getting himself banned. I must admit I didn’t see any posts from him that had a crack at OFA or the owner but maybe I missed something. Hopefully it’s just a short term thing and he’s back on here soon.
Yep, that’s one thing you need to learn early in the Forum game - you can’t beat City Hall.
Hopefully we will see freeze back after he has done his time in the sin bin, and his mea culpas with OFA.

Why was he banned? I can’t see any offensive posts. How come DD knows so much about it? Did he see an offensive post that’s been deleted.

Freezin was banned because like others before him he shows lack of respect for the forum and it’s owners/administrators. Unfortunately someone betrayed confidence entrusted in them when this forum changed ownership and has sought to destroy the integrity of the owner and this forum. It shouldn’t matter to anyone who is the owner of this forum though i understand the curiosity, but it seems it’s a big deal to some who then seek to undermine them.
A lot of my own personal resources has been invested in the acquirement and repair of a forum that was way out of date and broken when i acquired it as i was to discover which has required further resources invested in it to repair it, upgrade it and keep it up to date so it keeps running fluently day to day. As you will have seen this forum has had it’s technical problems that caused it to go offline for several hours and sometimes up to a couple of days. These are a result of these technical issues that require repair, which requires my resources both financial and considerable time. Time is the biggest cost.
So I have little time for those that take this forum for granted and criticise the forum and or it’s owner/s. Freezin has chosen to join a small pack of those i describe above who communicate with one another through other channels, one of which is the private messaging service provided here. I can’t help that, they can make their own choice but this forum is provided for those who appreciate it and don’t have personal agendas. Those that don’t appreciate it or have personal agendas have been cast off. One of those cast off who was afforded moderator rights used to describe this forum as “fucked” and “those fuckheads on that site”. His moderator rights were removed because he abused them by deleting posts that merely offered a different opinion to his. No way did it warrant being deleted. So he spat the dummy and asked for his account to be removed. I didn’t do that until months later after i saw a comment from him about this forum on another forum.
This forum, in case no one has noticed has undergone considerable changes, upgrades and improvements making it a much faster, more responsive, and is now more adaptable to mobile devices such as mobile phones and iPad’s/Tablets. I hope you are all enjoying the upgrades.

Thanks OFA. I’m not about to give an opinion on the banning of certain individuals as that’s your prerogative as the owner and I respect that. I just would like to say that I appreciate all your efforts in keeping this site running and for what it’s worth, I think it’s a terrific vehicle for expressing opinions about footy primarily, but other non-footy things as well. I find most posters on here are the genuine article…I might not agree with everything they post but it would be a very boring world if we did. Once again thanks for your efforts as it’s much appreciated by the majority on here.

That is up to him, he was sent a private message outlining the reason he received a 1 month ban and I am yet to receive a reply. If people want to spit the dummy that’s their choice.

Thank you BC I know you are one of the ones who appreciates this forum as do most on here. But unfortunately some get upset and they get personal and choose to target the forum and or it’s owner who has as much right to give an opinion as anyone. Everyone has a right to have a different opinion on here but when it gets personal and people start pushing an agenda there is no place for that on here. I can understand why the previous owners pulled the pin and nearly pulled the plug.

A bit harsh there Southy. Freezin had a very dry sense of humour, was self deprecating and wasn’t afraid to take the piss out of people on here which at times some didn’t appreciate…he’s also a passionate EF and WAFL supporter and made a terrific contribution to this site on a range of subjects imo. I’m not sure what he did exactly to get banned and will leave that to OFA but hopefully he’ll be back on here in a month. I guess that’s his decision as it sounds like OFA has left the door open.

It’s a quiet time on here between the changover between winter and Summersports.But we have Cricket,Glory,Wildcats,Super Rugby,Spring Carnival, AFL Draft.Syria,President Trump and a look back at Wafl pre 1987.To talk about and what ever new comes up.
I risk sounding like a “toady” or groveller, but I think 99% here understand where you’re coming from and fully support you. We might continually scrap and bag one another, but this is the best, not just sport, but all round site.

I’ve said this before but I absolutely love this site. It is big enough to provide a diversity of views but small enough so that your opinions are not submerged in a sea of other comments like on sites like Bigfooty. I commend OFA for his/her hard work to maintain this valuable website.
