I still can’t grasp the concept of quality players from bottom side being able to go to top sides or sides in premiership contention without the top sides having to give up anything.
Surely for Richmond to take Lynch from Gold Coast they should have to give up something.
If the AFL thinks Lynch is only worth pick 3 then there is something really wrong with the system.
If the AFL thinks Lynch is worth pick 3 then surely Richmond should have to give up their first pick in the draft to Gold Coast as well.
How else are these bottom team going to improve if the big clubs keep picking off their best players once they have done their 8 years
I agree. It wouldn’t be too hard to think that the two framvhis clubs have been set to supplement the Melbourne based clubs.
Allow these two franchise clubs to be raped and pillaged as state competions were Australia wide back in the VFL days. Fold them up. Make what is left.and send them to TASSIE. Spend another ten or twenty mill to prop up the Apple Isle side. Makes sense doesn’t it?
