Interesting news from Shark Park regarding Fred Marsh! Stands 217cm ( 7 foot 2 inches for all you old codgers) tall and has represented Australia at both junior and senior international volleyball since he was 16. Played professional volleyball until recently. Played junior football for West Belconnen in the ACT. At 26 a very speculative recruiting initiative which will be interesting to see if it pays off! At that height I don’t think he would be related to Steve Marsh!!?. 
How many points would he be worth?
You beat me to it Custy, woke up this morning to read that email from EFFC…I can never ever whinge and moan and say EF don’t recruit tall players from now on eh BH?..217cm is definitely skyscraper numbers…he is 6cm taller than Aaron Sandilands!!..hopefully Paul Harding can teach the fella a few moves over the summer.
from his picture Marsh looks pretty athletic and that typical volleyball type physique…be interested to see how he progresses…good to see the club thinking outside the box and do remember reading a some where recently about one of EF junior district footballers giving up footy at 16yrs to pursue elite volleyball at the AIS in Canberra…good to see the AIS sending one back the other way into Aussie Rules.

Let’s hope he can actually play a bit of football. At that height he wont be running around to much. Hoping his mitts can mark the ball and be rested in a FP.
