What is going on with the Football Budget this year. Last weeks results and ladders are missing, and for the second week in a row the fixtures havent been published. Very poor effort so far.
The football budget for SWFL has outdone the WAFL one for years now.
No WAFL collectables…
there was a time when the queue to get your almost sacred Budget was the equivalent of 1 kilometre in length at the ground
you even got SANFL info in addition to the inbreeds from Victoria
and that was at the very back page where it belonged
jam-packed full of good stuff that kept your attention for weeks on end after the game
and you’d be finding them for weeks on end almost everywhere across Perth
no matter where you went there’d a be a budget lying around
those were the days in football

It has jumped the shark this week. Has Peter Bosustow on the cover but no article or tribute, and only 20 pages. Not even worth getting it for free when you pay to get into the ground.
Sheezus, I remember all us boys on a Monday at Primary school trading budgets for the game you missed, ripper days those. I had full sets from 1981 until 2005, sold them all in the end.
It really has become a poor shadow of its previous self.
They must only print 100 copies for each ground as its virtually all gone by half time in the Ressies…oh but they still charge you the full $20 to get in that was supposed to factor the Budget in to the entry cost!!!
The budget seems to have had a make over and has all of the normal content from years ago back in today. Collectables, write ups, ladders, stats, fixtures, quiz. Bout time, don’t let it slip again.
