Over 4500 new cases, 80 in hospital and now 3 in ICU from over 18000 active cases. Had we opened on Feb 5 we would have probably already reached the peak and a month closer to achieving herd immunity and case drastically dropping.

Now what are you going to sook about everyday
Interesting that around 50% of those in hospital are unvaxed. The unvaxed make up a couple of % of the vaxable population yet 50% of hospitalisations. I wonder if the penny has finally dropped for the tinfoil hat/anti-mandate brigade.
The modelling suggests we will be at peak by the end of the month, I hope so, it’s everywhere now, up here in York, the local doctors surgery closed down when one of the doc’s tested pos, my pre-primary grand daughter had to go into iso when a classmate tested pos, 3 days and a couple of neg RATS later she’s now back at school.
An interesting month ahead of us all.
My granddaughter in Sydney copped it a couple of weeks ago. 4 days of absolute misery, then woke up on the 5th day fit as a fiddle like nothing happened. My worry is the young generation. My other grandies are vaxed, but just don’t take it seriously. Still, I used to be the same at 19/20…. 10 foot tall and indestructible.

SS I can tell you that two of the 5 currently in ICU are 7yo and 10yo brothers who are both unvaxed because of their medical history (like many others) and are in there for CLD but have also tested positive for covid
Yes we dont get given the full picture about the health circumstances of the individual cases, just that someone’s in hospital and they have covid, but that may not be the primary reason for the hospitalisation. Fingers crossed those Boys are ok.
Number of cases has dropped by over a thousand since the peak of just over 5000 on Thursday so have we already reached our peak much sooner than “expert modelling” suggested?
Wait for Marky Marks spin on that, I bet he gives himself a big pat on the back. Now the genius is telling us in advance that restrictions might end sooner as ……. wait for it…….. it’s hurting businesses!!! NOOOOOO ???.
Give this man a prize, what a genius to be able to work that out. Pure genius.
Yes DD he’s got to look like the king, to his clan of nodding dog, bed wetting hypochondriacs
So what did this clown McGowan actually achieve by delaying the Feb 5 border opening? Now it’s open and we have had nearly all restrictions removed we have the highest daily cases in the country and I think the number of deaths from people dying with Covid is in the high 200’s.
All this fool did was kick the can down the road and delayed the inevitable and now I think he finally realises it. We no longer hear about crushing and killing the virus do we? That was pure fantasy.
Who would’ve thought
