Elimination Final. East Fremantle v Perth

Great article in The West today. Encourage all Perth Supporters to buy it. Fantastic seeing the media getting the whole squad involved. Photos of Poole and footage of Hine Baston etc being part of it reminds us how much is involved to get this far.

Agree with R&B, Glass-McCasker was fantastic. I was on the boundary fence, and he gave repeated and strong instructions keeping everyone in check. Types like him wont see us bullied. With Scobes going down it was even more important to have him. Of course he also frees up Johnston.

Great that we have got a couple of games into Evans and Moore lately. Moore looked his most composed and that is what repeat games do. Two goals from him was a good reward. These games into Bodle will be fantastic for him too. He was behind a couple at the start of the year but kept toiling away. Well done to him.

Aussies Left foot marvellous. Paton - another 4 terrific.

I watched training on friday and Fleiner looks to have a great kick - will it be him to take the spot of the injured Brogan-Henry?

Gee if Parff was only 50% yesterday - it was an amazing effort.

Schlena the crowd favourite.

The club should see it it can get that Truck over to Claremont this week - Great atmosphere in there.

Lastly - seeing so many ex players was special. I shook hands with two ex captains. Whitey and Sinclair.

I watched the whole game on channel 7. The Atmosphere there looked fantastic. Wonder if they can get the Demons truck into Claremont next Sunday? Perths 3rd Quarter was superb, one of the best quarters of footy I have seen from anybody this year. Cory Byrne was lapping it all up as he has experienced the tough days. I reckon you guys will have 95% of neutral supporters, including myself barracking for Perth on Fathers Day

Very pleased that my prediction was wrong and the D’s won running away which is a great indication that they are a very fit team. Thought Byrne was superb and received silver service from the big Schlong who was the dominant big man. Perth have great targets up forward as well and if they can repeat that intensity they are more than capable of beating the Baggers.

Must say it was a great game to watch, decent skills from both teams, a willing game and the result was exciting for demon’s fans - definitely better than watching that women’s AFL crap

Well done Perth , watched it all on 7 - great coverage, thought it was an excellent game with Perth showing some classy passages of play and really put it together well in the 3rd.

EX SOUTH guy SCHLONG made a massive impact.

First finals win in nearly 30 years, congrats, another big task ahead v Tigers!

What a great day yesterday. A good standard of Footy as well. Great to see Perths big names step up but a lot of unsung heroes as well. Scoble was outstanding down back. I’m a big fan of Jacques. He’s no superstar but he competes really hard and allows Schlensog to play forward and basically roam free. Cooper Moore was also outstanding 2 big goals, set up a couple more and tackled and fought like hell to keep the ball in the forward line. Aussie Davis was fantastic also. Sneaky chance next week maybe

I’m wrapped for blokes like Matt Taylor, Corey Byrne, Aussie Davis and Connor Sing who are our longest serving locals. They deserve this as much as anyone. Heard there were a heap of former players up in the Perth marquee area including Michael Sinclair, Dene White and Kristian Cary.

This team is evolving. Players continuing to grow, Cooper Moore and Daniel Hill emerging. Cachard and Wills automatic selections each week. Jaques emerging as I think the equal of Edwards which stands us in good stead. None of them superstar ruckmen but more than capable of holding their own.

Cookie there also. I got a cheeky selfie with him. One of my all time faves that bloke

I liked Wills - on the wing? First time seeing him play, haven’t heard much about him. Wow he has some speed.

Wills is our gain and Subi’s loss.
He tied for the Colts medal in 2023 with our boy Coen Livingston (drafted by the WCE).
He has a lot of pace and excellent skills.
Mind boggling but he is already a first 22 player.

One of the biggest welcomes I saw in the marquee area was for current South Fremantle Colts coach and former club favourite - Big Chested - Matty Rogers.

Great call by the team.

I have been a member since the day I turned 18 a few months after our last grand final. And we all know how long ago that was. We all have Demon supporter friends and relatives who never made it to see the next premiership so that win on the weekend was surely for each and every one of those past supporters. As I reside in the country now, I’m lucky to get to 2-3 games a year but never miss watching a game on telly. I was there on Sunday and will be driving up again next weekend (and hopefully the weekend after that) and can honestly say that I don’t ever think I have enjoyed a game of footy as much as I did at East Freo on Sunday. And not just because of the win but also because of the atmosphere, the good-hearted attitude of every supporter I saw and heard from both teams AND, of course, the outstanding quality of the players and the coaching staff. Each and every player out there was relentless in their desperation and determination. While it is great to watch a game from up high in a plastic fold-down seat in a massive stadium like Optus or the MCG, nothing - absolutely nothing - beats being at ground level on the fence, surrounded by like-minded supporters, being close to the play and especially being so close to the immediate celebrations on the ground after such a resounding win. I felt so proud and so humble after that game for the way in which those players fought for that jumper and for each other. I shed genuine tears in memory of all those die-hard supporters, like my father, who never made it to enjoy such an outstanding performance from their beloved team. Congratulations to every single person involved in that win. Whatever happens for the rest of this season, that is one day at the footy I will never forget.

CM, i know how you feel about the years of longing for this great Club to have some success.
I wasn’t able to travel up for the game as i was travelling back from overseas.
But i will drive up to Claremont, this weekend with hope in my heart, as always.
I was one of the lucky ones who saw 5 premierships in 12 years.
And for a very rare occassion will wear my Premiership scarf which has been in the wardrobe for 28 years.
Go you DEES, you have already given us great pleasure this year.

Hey I didn’t know Peter Sumich was involved in the coaching box, he looked really invested in whatever role he is currently doing supporting the coaches and players

Suma had been in the coaches box on a few occasions throughout the season but wasn’t until our last game against Peel down in Mandurah he went out on the ground during warm ups and taking the forwards during the breaks.

He missed the Claremont game and WP game I think but was there against Subi in the last round and on the weekend. His knowledge and experience and the simple messages and advices he gives are invaluable.

PH he is a very good mate of Stone’s.
From Stones time at SF.
Yes, apparently, he used the WE word on Sunday.

Just harking back on the Sport FM replay of this game today,to TELL myself to move on and look Forward,NOT Back.

That should be Our Goal and Motto this Year.

Looking Forward and heading Up!!!

We MUST Control our own Destiny in Posting Wins and taking on anyone ahead of us and In the Way on the Ladder,NOT worry about others behind us and who we need to beat them.

Good Teams Don’t worry about that.We WIN enough Games,we finish Top 3,TOP of the Ladder if we’re RUTHLESSLY AMBITIOUS and RELENTLESS in Going About it!

Then comes Finals,…

Where WE Look FORWARD AGAIN,…

And FINISH TOP!

That should be the GOAL!

Let’s see how WE GO!
