Elimination Final. East Fremantle v Perth

And heard last week that East Fremantes Eardley is participating in his 200th game in todays match. First played league in twenty 14 I believe and a fantastic player for the blue and whites, being in the best players listing regularly. And also 3 or 4 state games played as well. Wonderful milestone for Cam Eardley which is quite rare in footy nowadays.

Great 2nd qtr response from the D’s just 5 points in it. Southern end is the scoring end for some reason so the Gummies need to have a decent lead at 3/4 time. seesawing game but I think EF have the edge in class and experience and should get over the line … but funnier things have happened. Good crowd at the Dog park maybe 4k ish.

Barich just said that Parfitt is very unwell and is showing a lot of courage to just be out there.
Great 3rd quarter to the Demons, just need to finish it off now

Well done Demons, outstanding performance to beat the Sharks on their home deck. Repeat that next week and you have every chance of upsetting Claremont as well

Well, well, well, for once in my life my funning feeling didn’t put the mocker on the DEES.
What a great effort, to be threatened and to respond.
This group is showing a lot of maturity.
This has already been a fantastic season.
And it’s not finished yet.
Got home to Australind at midday from Cambodia so no chance to drive back to Perth for the game.
First final I have missed in 60 odd years of following the mighty DEES.
The finals scarf comes out next Sunday.

Great game of finals footy.
Beautiful day for it and no AFL competition.
Crowd was over 5,000.
Thanks to Channel 7 and 91.3 fm.For their continued support of Wafl footy.
Geez this game had a lot of momentum swings. As one side got on top.The other side fought back.
Sharks looked good midway through the second and last qtr.But Perth had the answers, today.
Better structured forward line ,for the Dees. The difference between the two sides.
Watching the match thought a number of times that Perth.Would throw in the towel.
But its a differnt club from what we have seen for decades.
If their is a football God.Perth beat Claremont, next week.

Congrats Dees fans. No disrespect to East Freo, but I was hoping your mob would win given the long drought you’ve endured.

Claremont will be a tough ask next week but in a two horse race, anything can happen.

Well done Demons- too good. I was a little worried about Leggett coming in and being too tall. Jono Marsh could’ve had a bigger say if he had his kicking boots on- some critical misses in last Q. Hagan looked like the only likely scorer for most of the game.

Well done again- some big recruiting needed by the Sharks for next year- wonder who may retire??

A great victory by Perth today and a real shot in the arm for the WAFL.
When the Sharks reduced the deficit to 12 points with plenty of time left, the Demons showed great resilience to firstly stem the tide and then kick away.

Well they don’t call it the premiership quarter for a reason…kicking 6 in the 3rd proved pretty decisive, set Perth up beaurifully heading into the final stanza…well done to the Perth boys, EF were beaten by a better side…happy to kick this apple closer to the family tree R&B, and hoping Perth back it up next weekend v Cl…they are prime for the picking…enjoy the win, fully deserved.

Likewise Frozen
I grew up in Applecross, a rare Demons supporter in EF’s Zone.
Fortunately Perth were a powerhouse during my early years, so i gave as good as I got.
Anyways, jog on mate.

“Hopefully the fence keeps the majority of the dole bludging ferals from Lathlain away!

Mad Dog Marsh to get under the skin of the Perth kids and kick 5 in a 6 goal win to the Sharks”

Watching the hunger of success starved veterans like Byrne and Davis, reminded me of Butch Baroni and George Gianakkis in 1992 when we came from nowhere and fell an agonising 4 points short of the GF,so well done to the Demons who really wanted it more today.

Obviously at the game today and it was a very good set up bar the lack of toilets on the outer. Council should put up some proper one there. Watching the replay now. Unfortunately they are including the commercials this time. They don’t normally. But anyway im still loving it.

Wonder how Scobes will pull up. I also heard that Brogan Henry did a hammy.

Proud of, and happy for Perth supporters today

Well my gut was right. Had a good feeling going into this and had a good feeling Jesse Glass-McCasker was going to be a great mid season get.

He played very well starting forward before going back and even competing in a couple of ruck contests.

Obviously from a Perth supporter point of view it was a great game and that’s two great games to start the first week of finals. Bumper crowd of 5836 obviously helped by great weather. Hopefully EF made a profit. Apparently cost less than 5k for the fencing in the end. Makes you wonder why they didn’t put up the fence for the first derby.

Scoble ran the game out so I think he’ll be ok. Brogan-Henry probably will miss next week. Scoble was outstanding again. What a great day!!

Congrats to the PFC. Too strong and resilient on the day. Oh well, at least my dear old departed Dad will be dancing around the clouds.
