Very Sad News

Was at the 1970 reunion lunch Saturday v Perth sitting at the Presidents Table and was in good spirits.

Passing of our long term and much loved Patron and brings to an end to an amazing era of HUGHES family involvement that remarkably started in 1925 - 100 years ago when Eileens dad started at the club both her dad and brother would go on to be great Presidents. And this being our 125th year.

Ex Hubby BONDY was of course a big sponsor and RED went on to be a great donor sponsor and patron in her own capacity.

Eileen was true a Southerner and Fremantle person growing up and going to school at St Jospeh’s Convent in Fremantle, in a big South family and helping Bondy set up his Painting business at 18!

Rest In Peace Eillen Bond…
