don’t like this game one bit…EF were found out up back with some of those Perth taller talls, can see the likes of Johnson, Smith and Lycett causing a few hassles for EF defence, especially if Brown stays at WCE. Dalziell gets another opportunity for WCE, will be missed as will Menagola through injury. EP have a pretty good midfield brigade, strengthen with Rosa probably to.
Got a feeling EF will be working very hard to get a win here, EP more than match EF midfield strength, EF will be dependant once again on a multitude of goal kickers, surely Max can’t go 1.5 again? Symonds and MacDougall will give their all against Lycett and Johnson, tall task for them both though. Up back if Brown isn’t playing not too sure who EF will use on EP taller boys…Howlett to Smith, Dodd to the resting Johnson or Lycett perhaps? Really need another tall down there, really missing Weller too.
Anyway not all doom and gloom, great to see youngsters in Boyle, Tropiano, Hancock and Lester-Smith playing some good footy. EF do have some good rebounders in Schofield and Cooper, Stephen will know be called upon for one of EP smaller-mid forwards, EF will probably bring BOB back in to stretch EP defence along with Dick and Duffy.
Reserves had a shocker and need to rebound, time for Perham to kick a few goals, very disappointed that he has gone backwards this year, kicked 33 last year from memory. The colts will no doubt be looking to continue on with their good form, lots of bodies contributing, which will be a necessity when the likes of Regan, Bourne, Marsh, Jansen and Cripps leave for state duties. Congrats on their selection…bit puzzled though that Jacob Green didn’t get the nod!
according to someone else smithy had to kick 10.he only kicked 2 but you add up the five i mentioned and you come up to 13 and we kicked 14.in the end it doesn’t matter who kicks them so long as you kick enough of them.happy with the the win and with a few more additions in caddy ,jon and anderson will hopefully make the side a more compettitive side.
just had a feeling about this game…2.6 in the 3rd didn’t help, especially after EP kicked 7.6 in the 2nd. Snuffy2 jnr keeps on kicking goals, looks like Duffy and Dick had days to forget. EF badly need some tall targets up front though, quite surprised Cooyou got a gig before Riccardiello…perhaps Stokes will get a debut in the derby?..
Rock where was number 12 from EF colts mate?..injured?
SF desperate for a win next week, EF desperate to atone from today…derby’s are always unpredictable…should be some interesting banter next week…
Freeze you were spot on with the talls mate. Johnson and Lycett killed us and if Brown hadn’t of played on Smith he probably would have kicked 10. Fark he’s a big unit.
We were terrible today. Bad kicking across the board. Not sure what it was with the boys today…maybe the Perth game took it toll as we just looked tired and out of sorts across the board.
Colts weren’t much better. We started off well and had planty of the ball but our kicking once again was terrible (3.7 in the 1st qtr). Didn’t stay for the ressies but see we fell short by 6 pts in a low scoring game.
No.12 had a shoulder.
Cannot afford the same game against a desperate SF come Thursday. Fingers crossed.
