Relieved to win.
Lucky to hold on but the right team won. You rarely win a game by playing one quarter.
The bye can’t come quick enough. We are vulnerable without Brayshaw, Scott, Mcreadie and a few others.
A few good results keeps us in the top three.
It’s fair to say that we got out of jail today, after leading by 40 points (66-26) late in the third quarter, chaddy22.
South have some quality players and are a far better team than the one we met in Round 1.
Still, the competition is so even this season that you’ve just got to bank the four points and move on.
Our first and third quarters were very good, the second quarter was OK, and the fourth quarter was, well, absolutely diabolical.
I didn’t think there was much of a breeze at Leederville today, but 16 of the 20 goals came at the tech school end.
Looking at the WAFL website, Hamish Brayshaw, Harry Macreadie, Nick Robertson and Angus Scott are still some time away from being available, while Mitch Schofield of course is gone for the year.
After their gritty win in Mandurah today, keeping their faint finals hopes alive, Subi will be hard to beat in the clash of the co-tenants next Saturday.

I did mention the game in 1992 when we were 53 points up at three quarter time and lost and It looked likely it was going to happen again .When souths got a run on we seemed to go very conservative and kick backwards and sideways.
I would rather we tried to move the ball quickly and hopefully kick a goal.
They do say the best defence is offence. We should have Raykos back next week then the bye.
After the bye Both Scott and Robbo should be back but i would think Robbo would need a couple of weeks in the twos.
Brayshaw round 17 and Mcreadie round 19.We don’t play the Sharks and Peel till the last two games but i woulldn’t want to depend on winning one or both of those games to make the finals.
Add Msando (shoulder) and Edwards (ankle) to your list
One thing that has been forgotten is that Scott Jones played his 100th game yesterday.
Has been a fine servant for the club and would be great if he can also play in a premiership.
I had a chuckle when little Shayne Hille was one of the two blokes (the other might have been Nathan Eaton) who carried big Scott Jones off after the game yesterday.
Of Jonesy’s 100 WAFL games, 23 were with Peel when he was a Dockers-listed player.
Another stalwart, Stan Wright, will bring up game No.100 next week.
A premiership would be a great reward for both blokes, but beating Subi - who have beaten the Thunder twice this year - will be of paramount importance.

Forgot he played 23 for Peel when he was a Docker,I was thinking that he didn’t seem to have played 100 for us.
Thanks for the info Archie.
