Well latest reporting just two weeks out from the season start is that EFFC have conceded that a fence is needed to play home games and EFTC have proposed a wood picket style fence with ticket entry points , however this apparently has to go to a community consultation phase prior to implementation.
Of course it does,…..which will take Months on end.

Any moaning from the Football Commission on that, forward ALL Complaints to the Town of East Fremantle.
Bazza, Bromage talked about this picket fence on radio about a month ago with Landsmeer and Clark…..along with some other idea about fans going online pre game at GGP, and making a donation for game entry. Putting that fan in the draw to win prizes donated by the clubs sponsors during the game. I think there was a grand prize at the end of the year worth some decent coin…..open to all WAFL fans attending GGP games.
We are now two weeks out…so are games being played there?
The solution is to abolish local government. It is all pus. This is now a years long unresolved issue, we’re on the brink of a WAFL season and we’re down to pickets vs barbed wire.
Compared to what?
Stridently Arrogant State Governments(either side),who shove High Density Living down the throats of Communities that Don’t want a Bar of it?!
Oh Yeah, except the apparent YIMBIES EXPOSED as a State Labor Front by the Shenton Park Planning Group!

Unfortunately Barnetts plan to rid of far too many local councils, EFTC was one on the chopping block unfortunate it didnt go and look at the mess at Nedlands.
Agree with that Grassy, but local govs now stripped of all planning powers …by MCCLOWN so ;locals are really shafted, yes YIMBIES a mob of Labor stooges, kets be honest no one wants their neighbourhood stuffed up ..I know as it happened locally to my community.
Funny how they rarely happen to Labor Communities.
I’d put a High Rise right next to Carey’s place!
With homeless as the occupants? No chance.
Let’s go wooden fence.
That would look ridiculous.
Not In Carey’s Back Yard.
NICBY
A picket fence, a graffiti artists dream and high maintenance. Cyclone fence.
Obviously in the WAFL rules and regs regarding requirement of a fence they forgot to specify minimum height and the Sharks hierarchy found a loophole. A 4 year old could climb over this. Lol
I guess that fence would be an issue if the current WAFL age demographic was kindegarten age, but it’s not …..Can’t see too many of the WAFL’s current age demographic being able to scale that fence, but if they tried…..more fool them.
I don’t understand the need for the fence. It’s still free entry. It seems to be an expense to either the club, or council, which isn’t necessary. I’d love to hear the logic as to why it’s required if there’s no charge to get in
Player safety apparently KC….I guess all punters are frisked for weapons when paying at the gate at fenced venues…..perhaps EFFC can pay 4 yr olds to frisk punters to keep in sync with size of the fence that has been erected on match day……anyone who tries to evade frisking and jumps the fence, atleast the club knows, a 4 yr old can scale it with ease, and chase after them I guess.
Yep most WAFL fans wouldn’t risk breaking a hip trying scale the EF fence
I dont think its supposed to be free entry either under league rules.
