I went to the Mandurah/ Halls Head game Sat night at Rushton Park.
There were no Footy Budgets at the gate.
This is the 1st Peel League game I have been to - do they usually have a budget?
Good to be able to see who the players are.
Recognised Spanderman, Adamson-Holmes and Re (both ex-Subi) but
I was told there were a few more ex-WAFL players on the ground.
Re took an absolute screamer in the last quarter.
Ask the dorkers…they might do one up for you…
I would have thought that that was WAFL problem to sort out.
They used to do one in conjunction with the SWFL Budget, half each.
It was good to read about the happenings in the rival league and to see who the good players were. Unfortunately this ceased around 2009/2010??.
Last time I went to a PFL game they had on , albeit fairly thin.
Halls Head’s team also included former WAFL players Dean Buszan, Bernard Sneeuwjagt, Tim Bruce, Clayton Collard and Tom Fairclough. Former VFL player Joah Bowe & dual SWFL Hayward Medallist Jesse Gribble also played for The Lightning.
They have a pretty impressive side on paper.
Not sure if they do but if the sporting pulse system is the same as the ammo you can access team sheets online.
Go to fixtures and results
click the game
Then click selected teams
Clubs often have player names and numbers both recorded.
I went and looked at the game you spoke about spotslover and it appears that Re was number 13 adamson holmes 12
Sounds like a pretty handy side Will. Wouldnt mind seeing their $ budget
The PFL hasn`t had a budget for a few years because the clubs were too lazy to submit club notes or updated team lists. As well they found it hard to see the SWFL in the same booklet. Maybe one day the PFL will wake up and realise the football is for the supporters as well as the commissioners. It doesn’t cost much to organise a 20 page budget with club and league sponsors helping with the costs thru advertising.
A/man why is a WAFL problem?
Disappointing they don’t have one. Have been going to the SWFL games for the last few years
and it is good to read about the teams and the predictions.
Also disappointed in the Mandurah Mail coverage. Their FootyHQ section has not been
updated at all since the end of last season.
No salary budget down there with some of the players playing down there!
And spending a squillion to try to win a flag
Really disappointed in the coverage the Peel Fl gets from the local papers.
Compared to the Bunbury papers where each match is written up every week, the coverage
is mediocre. There is only one article that outlines the results of all of the games, so there is only very limited info on the games .
Have been informed around the $130k mark for Horses Head this year.
Been following halls head team list and boy oh boy is it a strong list. Went and watch a few weeks back and there backline is very strong. They just do the little things right
Very strong backline but also strong forward line.
Saw in the paper Re kicked 10 straight on the weekend.
Looks like he may have finished 2nd in the goal kickers for the year after
topping the goal kickers for the SWFL last year.
Yes, they do. It is about 16 pages, with the team lists for the match you are at, ladders, goal kickers, fixtures and ads. It costs $3.
They are not doing one this year - apparently not many people were purchasing them.
