The Eagles played well tonight and the Harley hype is almost unstoppable now but boy were the Dockers abysmal. They obviously turned up thinking this was going to be a walk in the park but they got a rude shock because if you don’t turn up 100% in any game, you are going to have your butts whipped which is what happened this evening.
Freo will rightly cop some flak during the week and I will be very interested to see how they respond to this humiliating defeat next week against the Bulldogs. If they don’t win this game I think Dockers supporters will be entitled to wonder if this team and this coach is yet another false dawn that fails to deliver success
I don’t recognise the Fremantle team I once was a member of. They talk too much and deliver little. I don’t like the captain. Claims himself as an aboriginal, what a joke would be lucky to have 1/10 indigenous blood and his hair is ridiculously long he now has a double man bun.
I don’t rate Justin Longmuir as a coach. We need a coach with a bit of cunt in him. I would be approaching Jarrod Schofield.
well I’d like to send thanks and special words to Cockburn central
thanks for giving us another cringeworthy week of an acne riddled 18 year old who absolutely loves himself all over the news or anywhere else we go
and thanks for changing my colour likes - used to think purple was an alright colour , now I can’t stand the stain it just reminds me of ---------- well ------ um ----- an appalling football organisation and a bloody good reason not to turn on the sport idiotbox
I don;t know what’s worse
the I’m beautiful & so fucking good I just love myself West Coast
or
the I’m so fucking perennially bad even the water treatment plant down the road smells better Cockburn
Senior players in Kelly, Waterman and Yeo were all very good but most impressive were their younger players who played with great freedom and no fear of making a blue, Reid, Ginbey, Maric and co were very good, even Darling earned his pay for once.
Freo who on paper should have won by 60+ points had no answer for WC’s high energy full on attacking game plan, their run and spread was very good and they easily won the clearances.
Would WC’s game stand up to a genuine finals contender remains to be seen but so far they have exceeded expectations.
Great to be able to smile at the end of the game for a change. Simmo obviously will be aware that there are a few more smackings ahead, so no doubt he will have been talking to the players about this. The great thing to be watching is ,as SS said, how the young blokes go….no fear. I suppose that reminds us of our mindset at their age.
Things are looking better for the future years, now if we can fix EF’s problems……
What is going on with this mob?. From looking like a million bucks one week to having their arses handed to them by a team who, lets face it are not a premiership contender. I’ve had my doubts for a while whether Longmuir can lead them to anything but mediocrity. The gap between their best and their worst is a chasm and it has to be an attitude issue.
Am I the only one who thinks that the Dockers are a completely over rated team who have had their tyres pumped up all year by people in the media, when the fact is they are a mediocre team with a mediocre coach, reliant on a couple of star players to win games for them?
Today they snatched defeat from the jaws of victory against another mediocre team and now face their last 3 games against Geelong, GWS and Port Adelaide and probably ejection from the top 8
Did you accidentally delete your last post Mike? Totally agree and I thought Darcy was poor. Has to be dropped but what might save him is Reidy didn’t play for Peel on the weekend. Knoble isn’t ready.
Clark was terrible in the last 8 minutes I watched. Did Treacy get injured? Has cost Fremantle big time. Coach is under the gun.

No I decided to delete it because I was reacting in the frustration of them throwing another game away. So I decided to give it a day or so to reflect.
They are up against it now with Geelong, GWS and Port Adelaide to come and they need t win at least 2 of those to make sure of their place in the finals.
I think many of these players have an inflated opinion of their own ability and Longmuir is too soft IMO.
If the Eagles don’t appoint Schofield I would be sounding him out if I were the Dockers
[quote=“TheRock post=237095 userid=924”]A game we had in the bag!!! Disappointing to say the least!!!
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Darcy is over-rated, over paid and over weight.

Rock when Fremantle sold the farm to get Jacko Darcy was one of the best ruckmen in the comp. But since then he’s been injury prone. I was always a fan until the weekend. Worst performance I’ve seen from Darcy so questions need to be asked. Is it fitness or has injury still hampering him? Chicken or the egg? I say this, he has always looked like a Sunday league player fitness wise from day one but shown himself to be a very good ruckman. But maybe he needs to understand as he gets older he needs to shed probably 10kg to “lighten the load” on the back, hips and leg joints.
He should be dropped on that performance but Reidy didn’t play on the weekend. Emergency or injured? If Reidy was the emergency then I’d drop Darcy for Reidy. I like the two ruckman combination. Allows Jacko to run amok. A few Fremantle players need to stop drinking their own bath water. Longmuir needs to grow a set.
With only 30 seconds left and the scores level how on earth at that last centre bouncedown did Fremantle not have anyone on the defensive side of the centre circle???
Brayshaw, Young & Serong were all on the Fremantle goal side at that stoppage, allowing Essendon a free run at their own goal if they won the clearance which they duly did, schoolboy stuff!
Also Draper was jumping all over Darcy, so why not bring Jackson in to the ruck in the last few minutes as there is no way he would be jumped over as Darcy cant get off the ground and is really just an old fashioned wrestling style ruckman!
Even more puzzling BH when you consider that even a draw would have kept them in the top 4. Surely they would have practiced these sorts of situations at training and the first strategy would be to prevent a quick breakaway by the opposition??!!
Finals start now for Fremantle, so I suppose if they are good enough to win all 3 from here they deserve to be in the finals. If they lose more than 1 they will miss out and it will be yet another wasted year to file away with all the others
Longmuir has to go. Refuses to pick players in ripping form in the WAFL. Darcy was a late out so brings in Taberner. He refuses to pick Reidy who made a dominant 54 hit outs and 19 possessions. Picked Voss who I thought was ordinary when we played Peel a couple of weeks ago.
Will Brodie racked up 44 posessions and a goal. Erasmus 35 possessions. Both were dominant against us. Coach picks the players he wants so it falls on him. They only gave Longmuir a one year extension beyond this year. I believe that’s so they only have to pay out one year.

I done my arse on Freo last week against the Cats who I don’t rate.I saw Treacy limp off against the Bombers, but he came back on in the last couple of minutes and assumed he was good to go against the catsand after checking all media outlets the next day, backed them accordingly on Monday night. Then on Wednesday the media reported he was in doubt, but I didn’t panic and thought Jackson would just have to play centre half forward, and help Amiss out as a key forward target,as the kid still has along way to go before he furnishes into a reliable power forward.Anyway fast forward into Saturday and the Cats get off to a flyer and kick a few kick goals, and I said to myself what’s happened here and noticed that Jackson was doing all the rucking, while Darcy was on the boundary wearing a track suit jacket!!I later discovered that Darcy was a late out,and the brought in Mat Tabberner and I thought what the Fock!!! That imbecile Longmuir must’ve known Darcy was in doubt all week, and why he didn’t have 205cm Reidy on the emergency list is inexcusable, and as a neutral,my advice would be that he has to go as he’s another Damian Drum markll
