Ok,we(probably mainly Your’s Truly
)have vented our Spleen over Saturday’s lost opportunity.
We’re all deeply disappointed, moody, grumpy, kickin’ the 'ole can down the road.
I’m sure the Coaches and the boys are too.
Let’s move on,eh?!
Let’s get right behind them and help cheer 'em on to greater success for '26.
We’d love nothing more than to see The Mighty Demons resuming a Winning Habit, qualify for Finals and Dare we Dream?
A Long Awaited League Premiership.
I’m sure this will attract the outside noise of the cynics, opposotion teams, players,Coaches.
Maybe even Schoefield will quietly say this week,“Not on my watch, sonshine!”
Ahhhhhhhhh!
Don’t care!Let 'em come at us and WE STEP UP AND WIN!
Let’s get to it DEMONS!
WIN,WIN,WIN,WIN,WIN!!!

Yep, time for a deep breath.
We are one game shy of 2nd spot (albeit along with a few other clubs).
This round was a beauty if you analyse it with some shock results.
We have played some good football at times and a couple of very ordinary ones.
Having said it previously, we have not been in good form, even with a couple of the wins.
And we have only won one game over a side above us.
It starts this week, with a must win against Subi.
We are a better side than we have shown, at least I think so.
There is some emerging talent so some positives IMHO.
Go DEES.

I should add that that should apply across the Board for all 5 Teams.
Whilst I didn’t go to a Storm tossed Claremont Oval on Sunday,it’s a fair bet,It was a tough Weekend for everyone.
We are also one game shy of 9th. Had we beaten SD, we would be equal on points with SF and PT, and a game ahead of EP and S. But it is not just the result, but the manner of it which stings, the abject capitulation, the absence of any plan B, and the unwillingness of players to match the run of SD.
As Cesspit pointed out, our second tier mids are not getting the job done, a problem exacerbated by Parfitt’s poor form. Absent one game Kluske and Gardiner have been poor. Davis started well, but has not reached 20 disposals in the last 5 games, and is not providing his usual link up/run and carry. Wills has not cracked 20 disposals all season. I am prepared to say that Watson will never make it at league level. Against SD, Kluske had 6 touches, including none in the first half, Watson also 6, Wills 10, Gardiner 11. Schlensog is now rated as “indefinite” it may be that, along with Kirk, we won’t see him all season.
The problem is compounded by a lack of pressure from the reserves. The only players with good numbers are Hallett, Gray, Brayshaw and Moore. Three of them are untested at league level, while Moore’s ability at league level is under question. Unfortunately, footy is becoming harder for someone of Moore’s stature. Ultimately, we are not going to win often enough when we have less than half the team performing well each week.
Would rather have Moorey playing near Goals, then all over the Park.Give him a chance to kick Goals consistently and they might flow,…
Thought Parf was getting good form in the 1st Half on Saturday, but like everyone in the 2nd Half, dropped off.Not excusing him,but He was no orphan there!
Not sure why Schlenga is listed as Indefinite, when he was warming up to Full Training, where the Club was using the Bye to have him Tip Top for June 27.Perfect timing there, with all that’s going on with South.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not writing Moore off. He’s 19 with 16 league games, and even those not in his preferred position. Contrast that with Watson, who is 22 with 25 league games and showing no sign that he has what it takes. If Moore plays, we should try him midfield, which is where he plays his best footy. He can’t do worse than the under performers I mentioned before. However, I don’t see him as a small forward. And surely Luers has to go. It seems we are committed to 6 talls - 2 back, 2 forward and 2 ruck - but if so, then GM should come in. He is unlikely to get any more disposals or goals than Luers, but at least he adds a physical presence.
Time for Jesse to Impose “that X Factor” Bo*b Micale had faith in him to do.
I forgot Johnston missed last week, so if available, he comes in for Luers. I really don’t rate GM, he just doesn’t get enough of the ball to impact.
Neither do a few Swans boys!
I do,but I’d really like to see him REALLY STEP UP and start tilting games OUR WAY and SOON!
Milan Murdock 173, Moore 170 - maybe a go in the midfield?
Parff was good in the first half - but certainly faded in the second and agree he has been way down on form compared to last year - Needs a rest.
I said in one of the threads that Watson was very good v WP but miles off on Saturday. If it was him who caused the two reversals (at least one an easy shot on goal) he should be dropped.
Baxter Gray is another who could come in. He looked capable in the preseason.
After the big surprises on Monday I am feeling more optimistic.
I thought McLean was excellent before his ACL - May be back soonish.
Ted, Johnston must come in for Luers. I can see some other changes this week as well. Stone will want to make a statement, as I reckon he would have been furious after the game on Saturday. He was unhappy at 3/4 time after that horrible third quarter but little did he and the rest of us know that the worst was still to come in the last quarter. I would bring in Moore, Hallett and possibly Brayshaw for Seth Clark, Tomasini and Watson. That is assuming Hine Bastin will still be out with concussion.
Assuming it’s still a 21 day Concussion Protocol, unfortunately Oscar will miss 2 more, with the Bye to follow.
