Disappointing to see Cruize go to Peel rather than coming home.
Peels recruiting makes you question the rules surrounding the alignment.
How are Peel going to find the money? Or have they?
Is this official? If so how they can afford Motlop, Jacky and now Gartlett is beyond me. All three are 10 point players aren’t they?
Yep disappointing but the longer it dragged on the more apparent he was going elsewhere.
Our club now has to move on and recruit someone else that would be like for like with the role they had in mind for Garlett!!
The weak as water WAFC make sure they have the extra pots available and the Dockers(like the Eagles) will foot the transfer fees and salaries to these players,they wont be playing for peanuts thats for sure.

The WAFL will find ways around it for them.
Peel have 8 10 point players on their list.

That’s the problem the details haven’t been worked out yet. Number of non-zoned players allowed (G7 wanted 2) Peel have recruited 3 on top of what they had.
Salary cap G7 wanted it lowered for Peel & EP, nothing done yet.
Now you raise a very good point, are they going to be allowed to have WCE & Dockers foot salary bills?

And I suppose Dorrington will still want to come to lunch.

If Garlett was after the big quid then I’m not too bothered we didn’t get him.

Garlett would have been handy as a one point player.
I am now very concerned that these two Clubs will become powerhouses.

I agree Rock. I never thought I’d get so angry over this situation. The idiots have no idea how pissed off the fans are and by the looks they actually don’t care. Our beloved WAFL is getting it up the arse right in front of our eyes and it’s only going to get worse. I don’t blame Perth for not signing Cruize and the same for Swans losing Jacky and Motlop. I bet they did everything in the power to sign them but got out done by the AFL. Grim times for the true fans
Spot on…the MARKETERS of our great game can bang on all they like, BUT crowds aint that great in the AFL. Whats happened now is the WAFL,have rolled over and the the Eags and Dockers (AFL of course) have gone alng for the ride. Hope what happened in Melb happens here, in that fans are going back to local comps Diamond Valley, Ovens and Murray, and a lot of other comps. They are sick of the contreived shyte the AFL rams down their throats be it paying rugby stars a million a year, OR continiually changing the rules where no one not even the players know whats going on. My Vic mates tel me the local comps, dont have this flooding crap, AND players are allowed to play with their NATURAL flair.
Agree with all you blokes. Sadly Larry Kickett and Neil Randall didn’t stick up for the WAFL. The rest of them never cared about the WAFL.
Cruize definitely a cut above in terms of talent. But he was really fat when he came to Perth before Xmas. Doesn’t seem like a bloke determined to get back to the AFL. Could be another Brennan Stack where he comes back and expects it all to happen.
Btw, apparently Brennan has come back with a new determination and is very fit, doing all the training etc. Could be like a new recruit.

Showed glimpses last year but not as good as I thought he could have been.
