Seems like Cody is thinking along the same lines mate…thus his tsf request…I guess after 7 years and numerous wooden spoons, the fella has had his fill…tho after 40 + years, surprised you haven’t mate…LOL
Fingers crossed Tropiano comes back to you guys…if he didn’t and chose Spud Shed park instead, the melt down here would be farking huge…and farking funny…
This Leggett fella must be pretty farkin’ good to get over 100 posts and counting on whether he’s going to move or not…either that or it’s off-season boredom.
Was just thinking the other day, if I recall correctly it wasn’t that long ago, maybe a couple of seasons, maybe 3 that Cody broke a leg or did his knee. I remember him getting around in a brace and crutches and missed most of or an entire season. Nice to se how he plans to repay the faith and rehabilitation the club put in place and the support he would have received. Wasn’t looking to switch clubs then was he? Hmm
IMO Leggett has to stay. He is younger, more versatile and more valuable to PFC moving forward than most of the other midfielders (exception Byrna). And I totally agree with that he should have more time through the middle. As for Troppo, ever see him doing the the thing and starting on the ground anywhere else except under the Ruckman?
Exactly PD. Troppo is the tough in and under mid that we lack. If he does not clear it himself he will get it out to Byrner, Masten or Murphy.
IMO imperative we convince him to return and Leggett to stay.
So nothing new to see here but what gets up my goat is the headline “WAFL midfielder left in limbo”. Really? Club states he’s a required player, clearly wanted by the coach, clearly loved by the supporters up until this point. So the question has to be asked, what is his problem?
Can any Perth supporters shed any light? With due respect I don’t need to hear from EF supporters for their spin on it. Run in with one of the coaches, doesn’t like the role he’s been asked to play, fall out with the captain or other players at the club, thinks he’s worth more than what he’s being paid???
Maybe lost out in a love triangle?? Just remember Cody, you haven’t even been invited to a state training squad yet in your 5 or so years as a league footballer so don’t get too big a head mate. Where has Leggett come in last season and previous seasons Butcher Medals? Why is Cody not feeling the love and can’t stand the thought of coming back to join his team mates? Must be a reason.
What caught my eye about the article was his manager saying that he had been at Perth for 10 years. He is only 23 so was he playing for Perth when he was 13???
Yeh mike I thought the same thing. Who would have thought he’s got a manager pumping his tyres up? Since Cody has clearly turned his back on his team mates and the club that gave him his start and supported him through rehab for a bad leg injury a few seasons ago, I think it’s time to dish the dirt up on what’s behind this. I sure some of you know what’s behind it.
You are right DD. We haven’t heard the real reason but I suspect he is a confused young man under pressure from internal and external forces that are filling his head with unrealistic expectations. We may never know. But it seems that he has become very determined to leave and may even look interstate if he can’t get to EF.
No doubt EF have not helped their cause to get him across.
I believe that PFC should remain steadfast in refusing to clear a contracted and required player to another WAFL club. It would be a different ball game if he decides to go east IMO.
I spoke to a mate who’s fairly close to club news and he says it’s two reasons, one he suffers very much from figjam and hes being fed a lot of stuff about moving by a very close relative.
Big time figgers and Dad calls the shots I understand.
Really wants to be drafted and thinks will stand out more at EF, simple as that. Deluded but simple.
All these problems seem to be happening under the new management team…I am joking, its just that everyone has to be, in my view, realistic about what any “management team” can achieve when dealing with an ordinary zone and some ordinary blokes.
The current management no better no worse than the one before it and the one before that…the coach is the key in any footy club. I hope Mossy is a good coach!!
