Apparently first time in their history. Footy going well in the Northern suburb coastal strip.
Been a great onfield result for West Perth. After the club was in bankruptcy a few years ago.
They have moved up North just under 30 years ago.And there still West Perth, with that high growth zone.
Really big effort for any team to get all 3 grades on top, I think Cl have done it a few times, Subi the most recent. I think Joondy’s vast northern suburbs zone is approaching that of Claremonts for producing good WAFL players and will only get better for decades to come. Joondy will be a powerhouse club (at least on the field) for the forseeable future.
Your right SS about West Perths zone.
Perth have to relocate to the south east corridor.
well done the red and blue

Nope WP are the first and now have all 3 grades in the GF. Will be a remarkable feat to win all flags. That too will most likely be a first. Take note Perth Football Club.
I think EF played in all three grand finals in 2012 and lost the lot!!!
Wow,all 3 grades in the Grand FINAL!! the City of Joondalup should take a bow.
RL East Perth should of moved up to Joondalup before WP, lol ??
Peel, proves the opposite, before Perth wanders anywhere inappropriately. Wp, have also imported proper league footballers to ballance the zone.

Well GTR if we made the move North more than a quarter of a century ago,i don’t know if i’m being a bit precious, but i reckon i would feel a wee bit silly chanting '‘East Perth’'at the home Joondalup station members grandstand, but maybe i’d might feel more comfortable screaming ‘‘CARRRRN EAST’’
AR I think the problem with Perths City+ County zone is player participation. They just don’t have enough juniors playing in there current zone.
If you look at Perth league + ressies list in the budget. At least half of there players are sourced outside of there zone..There wouldn’t be much cash left in the salary cap for marqui type ex AFL players.

You can’t compare the perth to armadale train line zone,to the Joondalup region. We took a punt on their delisted AFL problem child who was touted to be one of their best ever colt talents, and it was a predictable waste of time.
Tom James said, way back then, the kids are not coming to Leederville, we must go to the kids. I do a lot of maintenance work in the Southern suburbs, Canning Vale / Huntingdale / Southern River / Huntingdale / Piara Waters / Gosnells. All the folk know Eagles / Dockers / Collingwood but nobody knows the Perth Demons. Most folk know something about the WAFL but most do not know about the Perth Demons. If they moved to Banister Road [Empire Park Baseball Stadium] and did a deal with the baseball folk and promoted a dual sport [football / baseball] and become one entity, who knows what may happen. Its just a thought. Keep well all.
North Adelaide in the SANFL lost the League, Ressies and Colts Grand Finals today.
Promise of things to come?
1 point win to Norwood in the league, sounds like it may have been wet, wonder what the crowd was. Lucky SANFL get to play at their premier stadium. The SANFL know how to look after their comp so much better than the WAFC.
SS 27,479 down on last year’s 39,000
But a very good crowd on a wet day.It rained all game and for about 4 hours before the bouncedown. All considered good turnout.
Those 27+k would all have had the opportunity to sit under cover at Adelaide oval, just like it would be if we lived in the fantasy world of playing at Optus.

Sure did.
Congrats to the Cardies for the big one today - very deserving winners. It was a damned good game.
