Round 9 is finally here and we’ll have a full run down after this weekend … Some mouth watering match ups this week to round out the first half of the year.
Swans Vs Falcons - Falcons with a ripper win last week now take on The Swans who bounced back last week. Big trek up the freeway this week and will be a long drive home I feel for them. Swans by 5 goals.
Valley Vs Saints - Valley with a nice win over The Eagles will send a bit of statement to be wary and Saints would love to knock them off their perch. Valley by 5 goals at their last home game at North Swan before returning to their real home ground next week with the new change rooms.
The Students Vs The Eagles - GOTR - This is my game of the round as this will be a lot closer than the ladder suggests. The Students have been ok at times and terrible at others but The Eagles started on fire and have sizzled out the last couple weeks. They can bounce back this week but The Students won’t make this easy and will take it right up to them! Eagles by 8 points.
Tigers Vs Blues - Tigers sitting pretty but the 2 point win last week is a bit of a worry and they get a chance this week to bounce back and show they deserve their top of the table spot. Blues are close to relegation and I didn’t think they’d be this far down. Tigers at home by 18 points.
Roosters Vs The other Tigers - This will be a ripper too with 4 V 6 and Tigers heading out to the ocean will be like going on a school trip for them hahaha can’t wait for the F U text message after this one! Im going to tip the surfing roosters by 16 points.
Thanks for getting the party started Viper. Let’s hope we can get a few more tips correct this week. It’s looking to be a good one this weekend with a few important games on hand.
Big trip for Coolbinia to head down south, but can they do something even bigger and back up last weeks effort and pull off the unthinkable with a win over warnbro. Warnbro are sitting second and are eyeing off top spot. Warnbro by 3 goals
Watch out valley because I feel like that ossy park have something cooking up. The nearly knocked off the top canning and have a heap of positives to take out of that. Valley at home will be tough though and I don’t think they will let ossy park ruin there big grand opening of the new rooms. Valley by 5 goals
Well a loss for east freo could put there season on the back foot and make the back half even more difficult than what it is. A must win game for uni also, but ….. a loss will probably play to there favour as they may start to qualify players in there ressies. East freo by 17 points
Canning snuck away with a win last week and I’m sure they wouldn’t want any more close calls like that one. Willo travel a hundred meters down the road and will want to put in a four quarter effort against the ladder leaders.
Canning by 2 goals
Rolly v cott is my pick for GOTR.
Rolly are knocking on the door of the top five and cott stand in their way. Cott let one slip last week which I think surprised everyone based off their current form. Can Rolly cause an upset or will cott respond to last week.
Rolly by 3 points
What a weekend of football! upset of the round goes to The Saints who came to play. Kept Valley scoreless for the first quarter and Valley had their chances to win it. Saints kicked one with 10 seconds on the clock to seal it after it spent 5 mins in Valley forward line and didn’t kick the goal they needed. First game I’ve seen all year .
I’ve been warning people about The Falcons and sure enough they also went BANG! 10 point winners
Draw for The Students and Eagles (what has happened at Winnacot??)
