I know a couple of guys started throwing their tips on the other thread but that was with the old fixtures. The updated matches are:
Carlisle v Ballajura @ Carlisle Reserve

From memory these guys faced off in the elimination final last year and will get a rematch in round 1, worthy of Game of the Round I think. At face value it doesn’t seem that Ballajura have done a lot of recruiting so Carlisle might have the upper hand knowing the guys they are playing against. There seems to be a fair bait of palyer movement into the Cougars so the big question is - can they gel straight off the bat? Home ground advantage sways me here.
Carlisle to win.
Nollamara v Armadale @ Des Penman Reserve

Nolla come up a grade after a strong season last year and would be keen to make an impact. They have had a fair bit of movement in and out so it will be interesting to see how they shape up. Armadale missed finals last year after a poor start and won’t want that happenning again. A club with a proud history, the Demon need a finals series after a couple of lean years.
Nollamara at home.
Dianella Morley v Cockburn Lakes @ Dianella Open Space

Cockburn were relegated and reacted quickly by installing a 2 time former coach who breeds success. With this change sees an influx of players and a team ready to do some damage. The Raiders started off shakily last year after coming back into C3 half way though preseason but did anything but make up the numbers. They had good depth with the reserves making the prelim final so the could be a force to be reckoned with this year.
Cockburn to Win.
Noranda v East Fremantle @ Lightning Park

Flag favourites Noranda have recruited well and are looking to follow Canningvale with the C4/C3 flag double. I saw them in a scratchie and they look a cut above some of last years C3 teams already. Over the last few years Easts have relied on the same few players to get them over the line. Without colts coming through they hopefully have recruited some fresh talent to give the Hawks a run for their money.
Noranda to win convincingly
Belmont v Ellenbrook @ Forster Park
After a bad year in 2012 led to relegation, Belmont have had a big inlux of players to help them in the quest for redemption. Some of their players that had a year off should be back to bolster the side and they would be expecting finals action this year. Ellenbrook return to the scene of last years prelim final loss a vastly different side to last year. A new coach and players are on board and look forward to the first real hitout in the Eels jumpers.
Ellenbrook to win.
Ballajurra to dominate this season and it will all start this week over a respectable Carlisle
Nolla over Armadale
Cockburn to beat Dianellas thugs
Noranda in a close one over Easts
Ellenbrook over belmont in game of the round for me
whats this dianella thug nonsence? Your living in the passt mannn.. lol
Ballajura to beat carlisle (but anyones game)
Armadale to beat Nollomara (Armadale were a week to week proposition but when they were on they were hard to beat)
Dianella to beat Cockburn Lakes (DM have recruited a whole new side and some this year and are looking good However cockburn lakes are just as likely to beat us as i know little about them)
Noranda to beat East Freo ( i have a soft spot for east freo and hope they win but noranda from all reports are up and comers)
EllenBrook to beat Belmont ( ellenbook were a good team last year and unlucky not to move up . Cant see why they would go backwards this year. My tip for the flag -that is if DM dont win it)
Carlisle to beat Balla
DM too good for CL
NOLLA by a heap
Ellenbrook way too good for BD
And Noranda by 20 goals or more over EF. Cant see Noranda loosing many games if they have anything like the team they had last year.
Carlisle - Simply because they are at home
Nollamara - Would like to back my old side but I think Nolla are a stronger side.
Dianella-Morley - I know nothing about Belmont and DM finished well last year
Noranda - Hearing they are one of the teams to beat!
Ellenbrook - Our biggest rivals and well respected side
