C3 Finals Rd 3

Its pre-lim final weekend and the big carrot is promotion to C2 and a shot at The Tigers who held on for a 4 point win.

In the reserves the Uni boys are through but I hope they leave the clown behind next week who thought he’d go on the ground at 3/4 time and push a player. You’re a spectator … don’t ever touch a player regardless of what is going on.

Roosters Vs Swans - I’m not sure this will live up to expectations of a pre-lim. I think The Roosters have it all. The 2 big power forwards with one being ex Swan Districts monster in Josh Pullman. Next to him is their F/F who’s just as big but they have to get it down there. Their mids can play and let themselves down on the weekend. The backs love to spread the ground and make it look bloody huge. Big fan of this team and if The Swans can get up this will be a monster upset! Roosters by 5 goals.

Tigers Vs Falcons - Tigers pulled up a bit short, by 8 points, against The Students and have to play The Falcons again. This was only a 2 goal game last time so it looks to me like finals pressure is being applied and the gap has shortened compared to the normal season. I think the Tigers will get up just because … 4 points.

good luck all and enjoy the frothies.

Great write up and summary of last week’s games viper. Let me just add that the weather gods really turned it on last week with a stunning day for football. This weekend could be a different story. Preliminary final out at cott should be a couple of great games.

Cott v warnbro.
Very surprised with warnbros effort last week to come from behind in a gutsy win. They need to keep pushing and by the sounds of things if they can win the midfield battle they’ll be right in it. Cott will have a lesson learnt from last week and need to get that ball moving forward more often and lock it in. Big home crowd advantage but I’m tipping Warnbro by 7 points

Ressies..
Will see canning and Coolbinia face off once more as they did in the first week of the finals that seen canning get up by 2 goals. Canning really pushed the Premiership favourites last week only to just get out done. While Coolbinia also fought out a tough one to get up by a point. Know doubt these ressies boys will be a little sore but this will be a solid battle of four quarters with the big question of who can run it out. Canning by 10 points

Good luck everyone

Didn’t get to any games KTB, Swan Valley ladies had their GF against an undefeated Ballajura (35 games straight) and came away with the upset win so if you have any news on the weekend please share it

Cottesloe as I expected made light work of The Swans. Falcons by 11 points and I wish I had of stuck with my original thoughts. I wrote Falcons and deleted it and changed it to Tigers. Having said that, tigers kicking 2.9 hurt. 4 more scoring shots and lose by 2 goals is one that got away I reckon.

Games this weekend at Richard Guelfi

Tigers Vs Roosters - League
Students Vs Falcons - Reserves
Kingsley Cats Vs Scarborough Eagles - E2N

Congratulations to all the award winners on Monday night, a double dead heat in the c3 comp, and the big ruckman from Canning winning his fifth in a row for the ressies. Also well done Viper too your girls to for getting up and winning the grandy against a very good balla side.

Let’s just say weather conditions were not the greatest at Cott on Saturday. Cold, wet and windy. . . Very windy. Pretty much same story for both games, as teams had plenty of chances to kick goals with the breeze and was tight, sloppy contested footy much of the rest of the game.
