So, with SNESA dropping out into E1, could Kingsley stay up in C1?
Favourites could be Swan Ath, Balla and the Vale with dark horse BB.
If Kingsley were allowed to stay up, it could have a flow on effect, with Coolbinia staying in C2, Cottesloe staying in C3 and Coolbellup going up to C4, so that you have 10 teams in each grade and 12 teams in C5.
Re-fixturing shouldn’t be a big issue.
Team with a bye in C1 would vs Kingsley.
Team fixtured to play Kingsley in C2 would vs Coolbinia.
Team fixtured to play Coolbinia in C3 would vs Cottesloe.
Team fixtured to play Cottesloe in C4 would vs Coolbellup.
Team fixtured to play Coolbellup in C5 would vs team with a bye.
Maybe it’s too late too change or some of the relegated clubs prefer to drop a grade.
Either way it should be a good comp and good luck to all for the season.
Kermit, probably to close to start of season now for the league to change.
What happened with SNESA
Not too sure Mr AFL, I think we are all still trying to work that out.
all we know is that, the coach left and some players followed, the president quit and that a heap of other players have also left.
Seems weird. Weren’t they on a grand final last year.
Interesting this situation has gathered no traction.
I club that played in the G/F in 2022, coming off a good few years, had multiple senior sides and dare I say a couple of exceptionally elite players.
It seems to have imploded and apart from said consequences to other grades is barely cracking a mention?
Not being able to see transfers out to see but my understanding is a lot retired or stopped playing. Only a handful went with the reserves coach. A few would have since transferred out if they didn’t want to play E grade football.
The WCE boys were not playing every week and Masto is putting more time in to his wineries.
Just a perfect storm as they call it.
I’m sure some of the players will be enjoying the extra couple weeks off created by SNESA being moved out of the grade.
Anyone got any guesses on the final ladder for C1?
Ive seen the fellas on the PFL footy podcast have picked 3 different teams in Swan Athletic, Carlisle and Melville to win the Flag this year. Is the gap between B and C grade really that large that the swans and the rams going to be strong enough to bounce back and have a good year?
