Hey its not all over we have another Red and Blue side playing in the SANFL GF
Here is an old clip of Norwood v Sturt. One of the best games of footy I have ever seen.
Brian Adamson played for Norwood a WP boy. Heres a pic of him being interviewed after the game
Spoke to Winger and Brian is in an institution and not well. He was a great player in his time.. at Norwood and WP. Found a clip where he was interviewed Norwood led by former (and future) West Perth player Brian Adamson and future Adelaide coach Neil Craig, over ran Sturt in the last quarter to win by one point, despite Sturt having 40 scoring shots (14.26) for the day. Grabbed the clip off the SA GF clip..What a game.
Now you have to watch this Video as the Finish is incredible..
Well we still have the SANFL GF to go on 6 Oct and a prelim this week
West Adelaide v North Adelaide Sun 29 Sept. Winner goes thru to play Norwood 6 Oct

Hard to read but a good clip. Click to enlarge
Top left pick Wayne Simms Perth being tackled by Greaeme Seaby and Brian. Wonder what Brian was going to do with that boot.
Dont forget this game is on today for your Footy Fix.
Dont think it will be on TV but radio station above will have it not sure about ABC GRANDSTAND but it will be on IVIEW ABC TV on computer tonight or tomorrow at
If your windows wont run it because of the extension the station uses I recommend VLC Media player a good programme to have anyway as it plays any media format and it is very handy.

From the pics I have seen on the internet, it looks like there are 30000+ people there. Great result for the SANFL. Looks like Norwood have a comfortable lead at half time
Just said on 107.9 there are around 38,000 Not bad
He also said the LAST GF in the SANFL as we know it… Seems they feel the same as we do with alignments
NA Have come back into it in the last qtr.. Their kicking is letting them down
Must of missed some easy ones? Norwood will take it out
Almost time for the song.. Love there 2nd verse where they have adapted it to put in a few words about their own club
It’s a grand old flag
It’s a high flying flag
It’s the emblem for me and for you
It’s the emblem of the team we love
The team of the Red and the Blue.
Every heart beats true for the Red and the Blue
As we sing this song to you What do we sing?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot
Keep your eye on the Red and the Blue.
Oh the team played fine in the year 29
The Redlegs that no-one could lick, lick, lick
From the crowds first yell to the final bell
The spirit of old forty six, six, six.
Every heart beats true for the Red and the Blue
As we sing this song to you
What do we sing?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot
Keep your eye on the Red and the Blue.
Talking to Wally Price (A WP Legend who is in our team of the Century)
Speaking about Finals re Norwood and WP being in final. Red and Blue
He told me in 1941 The Red and blue colours won all 3 GF in SA,VIC and WA
WP DEF EF
Melb def Ess
Norwood def Sturt
Shame Melbourne let us down this year and the next one will be a long way off
He also told me while talking about the controversy over Heritage game and WP not wearing a Sash which led to a change of Jumper at those games that the Club first Wore a jumper with a Sash in 1947..Here are our jumpers over the years.
A bit of Trivia for interest sake
Just as a matter of interest I had a look at the NSW Rugby league Grand Final winner in 1941… and believe it or not it was Eastern Suburbs now Sydney Roosters.
