Brandon Parfitt

There’s a suggestion that Brandon Parfitt may be looked at by the Eagles in the MSD. That’ll make the Perth supporters happy….not!!

Who suggested it?

Not sure why you are surprised. Has been mentioned in various forums.
With Dom Sheed out for the year the Eagles will have the first pick most likely have first pick in the msd.
They need a decent midfielder, ruck and key defender desperately.
Parfaitt would be ready to play day one.
Having two players going in the msd i know how you will feel if it happens.

Nothing we can do about it if it happens. We just have to hope that Kelly finds some form and Yeo comes back and they may decide he’s not needed. Parfitt is 27 and they may look at a player who can give them longer service. What would be the point of drafting Parfitt? He’s never been a high possession mid at AFL level. Plus, they thought that bringing in more mature players like Baker, Graham and Owies would help the younger players. How has that turned out?

Chaddy, you think two is a hassle, try losing 3, a week or two before the season starts…Joyce, Strnadica and Dixon back in 2022, to you know who?..the WCE.

It was always on the cards, Parfitt has 130 games of AFL, played well for Geelong when given a go, just not given a go over the last few years. Whilst I agree with Ted, at 27 why would WCE look at Parfitt…unfortunately history shows the MSD is just another chance for AFL clubs to begreedy and fill their boots, not many players drafted in the SPP or MSD stay listed for long…especially the ones drafted by WCE…young, middle or old.

I do love how DF says who suggested it?..fark for a fella who lives and breathes the Perth Footy club and lives in WA, I do wonder whether the cave he resides in, has reliable internet service.

Angus Brayshaw.

Internet works fine.
Only place I have seen it is from “gurus” on this forum.
Hence the question.
As for Angus Brayshaw, how would he know?

He may have his ears closer to the truth than you or others.
But seems he may have friends at the Eagles, He being Parfitt.

Parfitt got plenty of opportunities at the cats…just vever improved after 7 years in the system. yeah he tries hard but a limimited footballer. will dominate in the WAFL. He as offered aronud AFL clubs, no takers, therein lies the answer

Played an average of 18 and a half games a season at Geelong.
could be handy for the Young Eagles.

Exactly but a rival captain is using his media profile to pump Parfitt up as being a good fit for the Eagles. He would be a good stable pony for the out of form Tim Kelly, an ex Geelong team mate.

It was Hamish Brayshaw, not Angus.

Brayshaw says that Parfitt and Kelly are good mates from their Cats days.

Well he’s playing with 3 former Cat’s at Perth and living with Charlie Constable.

What will be will be.
If he nominates, good luck to him.
And it will piss me off if he gets picked up.
Why?
Because he can have a profound influence at PFC.
And he is.
I am hopeful that he won’t even nominate.

The WCE have drafted Culley, Maric & Hutchison in the mid season draft. Culley would still be there without having doing his knee..They should get another serviceable player.
They need Essendons record, remarkably better than their national draft record of late - They have hit Durham, Menzie & now El-Hawli well down in the order.

While Parfitt might be a sugar hit, he won’t change the fortunes of WCE, so their smart play is to look for that good player that is say 20 or 21 and have him come in as a part of the full rebuild, they need as many good kids as they can find who will be in the push for their next flag, and Parfitt won’t be part of that at 28

Summarised it perfectly PH.Perth guys should not be stressing about Parfitt getting picked up in the MSD.

My apologies for naming the wrong Brayshaw brother.
I did mean Hamish, former Eagles player.
Apologies.
