So,in asking both the Federal Government AND Opposition what any inquiry might pursue,I’d be interested to see if they were to pull in the Indian Ambassador(given the gunmens’ origins in a 30% Muslim population of Hyderabad),to give his or her theories on why these 2 were more concerned about events thousands of miles West of India,rather than India itself?
This is not about pointing the finger at the Modhi government.Rather,our Politicians and Intelligence Services need a few pointers on whether these guys were simply aggrieved angry Muslims,or India,as well as the Phillipines and Australia,has a deep seated problem with ISIS!
But if the pair of our Major Parties,runs a Mile from that,then I don’t see any Inquiry being capable of really resolving anything,with those 2 stage managing the whole shebang!
Needs to be a full federal Royal Commission, at least it will have some semblance of independence compared to the highly controlled internal reviews that Albo wants. Dont care how long it takes or what it costs, it needs to be done. The so called reviews can do what they want but if there is an RC waiting in the wings, they wont be able to cover up the obvious security failings that have occurred. What do Albo, Wong and the rest have to hide. We know Albo attended a “free Palestine” rally in the past and Wong seems to have no genuine concern for Jewish people, but they need to put aside what appears to be their personal anti Jewish attitudes and get the RC up and running without delay.
They’d be covering not just their own A*rse,but Home Affairs’ Hide as well.

Exactly S. And a silly little very limited enquiry will maybe throw up more questions than answers!
A Royal commission would take years to have any out come.
Just have to look at the RC into the armed forces. That took four years.
As tragic as the shootings were, there can never be an investigation that will finish quick enough or have the result that those asking for a RC want.
I believe that the Dennis Richardson review, will get something done much faster than an RC.
There will never ever be any RC, review, enquirey, that will please or satisfy the famillies. And I understand that.
But the screaming coming from the Right demanding a RC are just politicicing the sad event.
All I will say after that is, “Beware of charlatans bearing gifts”.
