And now there are five, let’s be clear these were children. Surely the cops need to get off their arses now. And why isn’t the media staking him out? If it’s you or me they are camping outside our home with cameras and microphones at the ready. Seems to me he is still a protected species by the police and the media.
As I said in my previous post DD, somebody’s got to start getting very serious about the investigation.
DD, I loved cabes even though he was not a part of my team ever, but ROCK SPIDERS must be eliminated, too many of them everywhere, especially from in the days when kents could easily get away with shit. Karma has a way of catching up with them in their end of days a lot of the time
Two more complainants have came forward. Wonder if the trial will go beyond the stipulated 5 days?
DD, is Bruce Brennan still alive?
But you seem surprised by what allegedly happened. Famous people, sporting ones included, seems to have ways of making things go away. A lot of cases to look at.
Look at the cover up of Shirley Finn. Allegedly a copper involved. Allegdly a very high profile pollie involved.
At times it seems to be a case of who you know, or knew.
A lot of that seemed appropriate to certain football players.
Surprised you are surprised.

Brennan is still alive.
Both EPFC and Perth had Police connections that he would have known.
Now we have another 2 ladies come forward accusing Cable as well. 5 ladies so far, will there be more? The justice system better get their well paid arses moving and sort this out.. If he’s innocent, he can walk away, if not, he should be in jail. Whichever, it’s at the most serious stage.
At this stage it’s a civil case only, no jail involved just a cash payout which they won’t get as he is “broke”.

I understand that there won’t be any jail for the 1st lady, but what would happen in the event one or some of the other 4 are found to be genuine?
And now there are seven. And Mrs Cable says to young girls don’t take any notice of him walking around stark naked, that’s just Cabes according to evidence from one of the women.
So who and why are these parents dropping their daughters off at an older blokes house?
So who and why are these parents leaving their daughters unsupervised at a footy ground supposedly during quiet times?
One of the girls had the gumption to tell his wife of his behavior but none of them had the gumption to talk to their parents or another adult?
100’s of people from 3 high profile football clubs would have known something yet all of those people kept their mouths shut?
Seriously, are you really ,really serious!!
I cannot believe what I just read. A grown person laying blame on young vulnerable tiny girls
YUK.
Spot on, this is just making excuses for the perpetrator. Happens a lot in child abuse cases. The Abuser puts the victim into a situation where they feel ashamed about saying anything because they are convinced that noone will believe them given the “higher standing” of the adult.
As for Mrs Cabes, she seemed to have some inkling about what was happening.
That’s just Cabes, really. WTF.
Tell me, is there any ones wife here who would allow you to walk around stark naked in front of a young girl visiting your house?.
And that’s how the likes of Rolf Harris, Jimmy Saville got away with it for so so long. Back in the 90s, I lived in Leeds, we used to go to this cafe where Jimmy Saville went, said to my wife, that guy looks dodgy as fark…she said that’s Jimmy Saville he is an English icon…being English my wife had grown up with him on the telly, to me he looked completely dodgy…I guess growing up every Aussie thought Rolf was an icon…sadly Cable was an untouchable icon too.
It’s the old where there’s smoke there is usually fire and right now the flames are growing bigger. I think if no one else came forward we’d probably all be prepared to sit back and give some benefit of the doubt and wait and see how it all plays out. But the weight of evidence is mounting by the day and is pretty hard to read about a WA sporting icon that we all grew up admiring.
Personally I am disgusted and if I see an individual photo of the bloke inside the walls of the Perth football club I’ll be demanding it be taken down.

Plenty of high profile Eagles were looked after as well until it got too big to hide.

DF would have seen the great 60’s threepeat and is probably struggling to come to terms with it.
Gotta say, I never ever liked him. I always thought he was a smart arse with SMS. That’s one of the 2 reasons I don’t say much on this subject.

Meet him at least once, found him pretty up himself.

I remember when I was an apprentice in the early 80’s a West Perth supporter said did you see a documentary about Cable years earlier? He said the bloke was full of himself. Even in probably his last interview with Mike Sheehan on Open Mike a few years ago you could see he had a pretty high opinion of himself.
