B Grade R2

Another big day of B grade footy ahead this weekend. Few teams wont wanna go 0-2 especially in an 8 game season. Might be a tight comp by the looks but guess we will find out more next Saturday.

Bullcreek v Wembley- Bullcreek stacked with the full 43 points last week will be a tough start for Wembley. I still think Wembley will have enough and would have expected them to have a few boys back again. 3 Goals to the boys from the Netball Centre

Bassendean v Mt Lawley- Good start from last years C graders coming from behind at the Showgrounds, never easy winning at that hole. Think Mt Lawley will be 0-2 here just because its at one of the worst grounds in Ammo footy. Basso by 27

Whitford v West Coast- As they really pushed for promotion and relegation, you must assume West Coast are stacked. Did enough on the weekend did Whitfords but nothing convincing so will tip the Freddie and the Coasters by a handful of goals

Swan Ath v Wanneroo- Wanneroo let it slide last week with the last kick at home and will be salty. Swan Ath got done with not allocating points to a player so got shit out of the game in the end. Honourable loss against this years favourites shows they could be steady. Don’t wanna be 0-2 boys. White V over the Brown V by 2 goals at "Beers on Tap’ Reverse.

Good luck losers, play in the spirit and enjoy them Froffies

Frank the Tank- that was a solid tipping round looking at the results (other than the West coast result)
You missed Wembley by a point
Basso by 2 points
Wanneroo by 11 pts

Solid effort there considering there has been minimal- No talk about B grade all year.

If only you could have had a multi on those margins-$$$$$

Good work Frank good to see someone making an effort! Where is Mr Mysterious!
On B Grade I hear the was some pretty ordinary events at the Bassendean v Mt Lawley game. If someone who was there wants to offer an accurate account I would like to hear it.My sources tell me a Basso player king hit the Mt Lawley Captain in front of the umpire and knocked him out and some peanut(not a player) on the Basso bench wanted to take out a few more?
Tribunal hearing tonight but from all reports is was so severe he is in for a long break?
Pretty ordinary considering there was a huge crowd at Basso in honour of the terrible events of the previous week. The tribunal needs to make a statement here if this stuff is to be stamped out and if the PFL is to have any credibility and prosper!

@Old timer , hopefully your sources are incorrect, King hit, Knocked out, Basso bench getting involved, entire club needs to be sanctioned if this is even half true.

I hope the circumstances were not as described. The fantastic thing about A Grade & B Grade for the last several years has been a complete lack of this sort of behaviour. It will be interesting if there is video vison,

Anyone know outcome of tribunal?

Holy Shitballs, we have a B grade thread going, good to see the people are up and about.

Just a quick update on the tipping ladder:

1st- Frank the Tank 3/4 (damn you Freddie and the coasters)

Lets hit the results.
Bullcreek’s 43 points just not good enough over Wembley. Coupla good 5 pointers running around in this game, but the bombers are back down to earth.

Basso got the win but thats the only positive to come out of a really big day for that club. No news on the hearing except I’m hearing in excess of 4 weeks. Mt Lawley probs got them on a bad day

Freddie didnt play and neither did West Coast. Shitfords showing they can ball this year and took a big scalp

Wanneroo won by a point in what looks like the worst game of the weekend. Suns out, coupla too many Pinot’s for both teams it seems.

I’ll be back with R3 deets, but good luck catching Frank and his tips is all I’m gonna say

Unfortunately the Basso thug only got 4 weeks which is a disgrace!
“Old Timer” was spot on it what he had heard. It is bewildering and disgraceful how a person can king hit the oppositions captain in front of the umpires, knock him out and only get 4 weeks. This type of thing needs to be removed from PFL and the tribunal had an opportunity here to make a statement but instead chose to implement a token penalty which is completely inadequate! If 4 weeks is all the tribunal is going to give him I would be taking civil action and I would encourage Nitro to do so as well.
Describing the person on the Basso coaching bench as a “Peanut” is tame, the bloke is just a low life thug. If it wasn’t bad enough what their player had done he threatened and incited further violence. This bloke is a blight on the game and should not be allowed to be involved in any football matters in future.
The day was supposed to be a celebration and memorial for the tragic events that happened the week before but instead it became a day to forget.

Lets see if we can determine why such an inept penalty was dished out?

Ah got it, he has played 2 games, suspended for 4 games, plays the last 2 games and surprise surprise he just qualifies for finals. Disgusting!
Maybe Basso can right the wrongs here and suspend him for a longer, more appropriate period? Not likely winning is everything even if it casts a dark shadow over the clubs integrity.
I have always thought the only power “A” grade clubs got looked after but this whole fiasco smells of nepotism.
Watch out Bullcreek and Swan Ath in the last 2 games don’t turn your back on him. Then again he might get caught again and get his just deserts?
If the PFL’s so called integrity commission is to have any credibility they should review this decision and do what’s right and suspend him for at least the remainder of the season if not longer.

4 weeks is a pathetic penalty for such a calous and sickening act. What a weak effort by the PFL. Its one thing to tackle recklessly or bump high in the play and get weeks off. It’s another thing to king hit someone which can put someone in hospital or worse. I would encourage the player and club involved to take civil action against the player and against the PFL. Maybe then would the PFL treat these sorts of incidents seriously. If its good enough for a legal conviction off the ground, its good enough for a lengthy or permanent ban on the ground.

what happened to the Danny Green cowards punch mantra?

looks like the pfl live in a universe of their own.

Holy Smokes Batman, we have take off

Some serious words from BAAFLE. Be interesting to see if Mt Lawley take this further, doubt Basso will do much about it in my opinion. Shame for a club that has tried to change its rep over the last however many years, poor look. My guess is any Basso blokes checking this thread probably will stay away from this because by the sounds they wont have much of a leg to stand on.

Don’t have an alternate strip and now this!! Watch out teams in black

Surely it’s not as simple as a head punch that knocked him unconscious? For 4weeks?
