Another great gone....

Just hearing news trickling through of Peter Bosustow has passed away. Has been battling cancer for several years. At one stage, it sounded like he was getting on top of it. Sadly it reappeared. Too young to go at 67. The Wafl has lost a champion.
Very sad indeed.

Horrible news of the passing of another Wafl Legend.
Did Peter B win the goal and mark of the year.In the same passage of play for Carlton in 1981.Two VFL Premierships for the Blues.
Did Peter miss 1976-77.But remembed for that amazing 1978 Wafl GF.
Wafl Hall Of Fame
Perth Team,of the Century
RIP

Very sad. One of the PFC’s finest ever players.

Very sad, a brilliant footballer and from what I heard a really nice humble man. RIP Buzz

Sad news, was often seen at SFFC when his son played colts down there.

I have my best memories of Peter Bosustow from Perth’s 70’s era
along with Murray Couper , Steve Hargrave , Robert Wiley and Chris Mitsoupolis it was a dangerous forward half
it was just his temperamental mercurial nature and being able to change games by himself very quickly
I didn’t really see much of the VFL career stuff I’ve never been into their shit
apart from the odd Winners episodes here and there
one of the very best WA products in an incredible era of real bonafide champions
far above the sideshow bob two minute fuckwits of today’s pathetic game
you rest easy Peter there were some great highlights during your career mate

As a Carlton supporter I will never forget the Buzz - he was the reason I started following them to begin with. Lit up Princes park in his 3 seasons there, returned with two premiership medals and left behind a highlights reel unmatched - all before the age of 26. In much the same way, now leaves us too soon. Very sad news indeed.

RIP Buzz
Many fond memories watching him play for Perth, WA, Canning, Thornlie & Carlton.
Used to get all my footy, cricket, sporting stuff from either Total Sports (which Buzz & his old man Bob ran for years at Carousel) or Slater-Gartrell and sadly now we have lost both WA sporting legends in the last month or so.
