I shake my head, its got to be the mentality of the players or the coach or both. They were all over Geelong like a cheap suit in the first quarter, then they let it go, again! 52 points in the first quarter, 48 for the rest of the game. They can talk the Dockers list up as much as they like but they will not win a premiership with Longmuir as coach. Gold Coast will win one first

The only one that really looked like he wanted it in the last 15 minutes of the last qtr when I tuned in was Caleb Serong and they were 9 points up.
Bad decision by Tracey to pass the ball to Murphy Reid instead of what I would have thought was a pretty easy kick across the body from 40 at the most. Think it was Dunstall who agreed.
Fremantle have been timid in relation to Longmuir. They extended his contract by 1 year 2 years ago now he doesn’t have a contract he’s a full-time employee.
That should eliminate any costly payout. Who are our assistant’s?

Voss big lad not much footy nouse. Darcy…WHY on earth they continue with him amazes me… Been slow and cumbersome for years…AND on a HUGE contract.

Agree on Darcy Unka. They should have traded him a couple of years ago when he had currency and kept Meek or Reidy on the list.
Definitely kept Meek…think Freo are stuck with Darcy now unfortunately…unless a side like Essendon decide to take him…but Freo would have to subsidize some of his wages no doubt
I certainly don’t see Darcy as the problem. Darcy is going nowhere. He was probably under done game wise.A game for all would have been handy rather than have a bye before actually playing a game.A massive anomoly from the AFL.
There was no way Meek was ever going to stay when Fremantle recruited Jackson.There was no spot for him.Reidy was a wasted spot on the list after Meek left.
Like Simon Jones, who is now a Giant in the WAFL, Reidy was never going to make it at the top level.
But the game on the weekend brought out the best and worst of Fremantle.
A brilliant first quarter, a good first half, but sadly forgot how to defend after half time.
I lost count the number of times the Cats ran the ball out of defence and took the balll all the way into their forward line.Lack of defence.
There would have been a spot for Meek if they traded Darcy at the time instead of putting him on a long term big $ deal. Too late now as they’re stuck with an old time ruckman trying to play the modern game.

I am not either,but to lay the blame one one players is beyong crazy.
It’s more the Club’s handling of his contract and his body.
And his body won’t hold out anywhere near it finishing,despite them sending him overseas to try and get it right and he still has injury worries and he simply is too slow and cumbersome in his career’s latter days.
It is getting near that time to hang up the boots in AFL footy.
