I went to the Goldfields reunion today at Belmont Park. It is a reunion for those from Boulder Kalgoorlie, it is held every year.
Present was one Alec Epis.I knew Alec from his South Boulder days and his playing for Mines Rovers.Had a good chat with him and hand my photo taken with him.
So The Kookaburra was in town?
I noticed the 1st at Belmont was his Race,but I wondered if he was necessarily here for it.

How did the Race go? 
Grassy I am not a racing fan, not a punter. I just went for the reunion to catch up with some friends from Kal/Boulder.
Yes all the races were named after either sporting identities from there or other of importance.
Had to be close to 300 there I reckon or maybe more.
