Attended last night. The rooms look so much better with jumpers on the walls and the sandover medalists on the back wall.
Dwayne lamb spoke well.. Rusty seems on top of things. Pepperjon, the new CEO, also spoke well. I get the feeling this administration are on the ball. They are doing their best to meet various constraints. They are interested in feedback, the members, and the bigger picture for Subiaco.
Having said that, financially things look a bit concerning. Im definitely not an accountant, but I think we made a 250 grand loss this year.
The plan is to further outsource running the bar and the accounting to save money.
We’re lifting spending on the footy department.
The change rooms have had a make over.
Joe Georgiades is leaving for a new job.
Golding is also having a break from the WAFL with Senge.
New footy manager said they’re still working on the ruckman situation. One promising kid in the wings but probably not ready for a full season. Wagon trains will hopefully have a better year with injury.
250k loss? That is massive. So how much has your club lost in total since the money tap from Subiaco Oval was turned off? Maybe your club is still living like millionaires with no money coming in.
Well considering Perth have had plenty of money in the bank for years DF, and it has provided them with fark all success, who knows what management decision making is the best to undertake these days.
Currently over in Perth for Xmas DF…popped into both GGP and MRP for a bit of sentimental nostalgia…one might have no fence, but the other looks very tired indeed…though the latter has a beaut playing surface, thank fark for the tenants in that big black house I say.
WTF are those purple seats in the grand stand…they look like they have seen better days, torn and tatty at best..as is the viewing area next to HJ’s…hopefully the redevelopment gets ticked off sooner rather then later…
