Four maggots on the field these days and they missed a crucial obvious mark by Rankin for Adelaide with about 1.30 to go one point down. Would have had a shot from 10m inside the boundary about 40 out.
Don’t forget the manhandling of Rankine after the ball was forced from his grasp.
It would be interesting to see what would happen if Adelaide miss the finals by the barest of percentages.
But the AFL have admitted the Umpires were wrong twice, so all is good.
While there are four of them on the field, there will always be this sort of crap happening.
I have said since the idea was first thrown out there, that four is at least one too many.
Far too many free, obvious frees, are missed. Or, are picked up far too late from the umpire 50 metres away.
So many slow and ancertain calls.
Remember that the THIRD umpire was employed to stop the behind the play thuggery that was going on.
Three was bad enough, but four is a disaster.
Each one waits for the other to make a decision, this leads to indecison.
I watched the Crows V Geelong game last night and it was a shit show.
So many strange decisions. So many very pate whistles. One umpireat ones tage called pay onafter a Crows player marked the ball, then changed his mind blew the whistle and paid the mark>
A contested mark on the boundary line in the forward line of Geelong A player from both clubs flew. Crows player almost marked the ball. Cats player stole it from him. The umpire paid a mark to the Cats player.
So many calls of not 15 , whhen it was obvious they were.A lot were close to 20/25 and called play on.
Four is one too many. Three is pleanty.
It would appear the umps are getting worse. Time to fix it….all umps will be banned and we’ll play the game without them.
The AFL told the Adelaide Crows
That the 4 umpires selected for the Geelong match.Where the inform umpires of 2025.lol
It would appear that Dalgleish is quickly becoming the Collingwood of the umpiring fraternity. It appears that he will he the umpiring host of all AFL game at Perth stadium.
4 different umpires with up to 3 “technically right” decisions…just do the maths there
