AFL Trade Talk

Freez, I think you will see a different McCarthy this year.A year out of football is a long time,But he has now had two pre seasons under Lyon and a full season of AFL football. He will be good value.
I am not sure on Kersten. He seems to fire one week then blow out the next couple. He needs to work harder.
I also think we will play a different style this year compared to recent years. We have imported Wilson, who is a jet off half back.He delivers the ball beautifully. He also makes good decisions. He will make a difference as to the forward patterns. With the ball in his hands , the forwards will be much more willing to lead at him.
Also the advent of Luke Ryan was another blessing. He is a good decision maker as well.Strong in all aspects of the game.A year under his belt and another pre season, he will blossom.
DD, I agree about Ballas, he will be the starter I think, but he will have to perform well early to maintain his spot.
we can only dream still about what Bennell can bring to us.If he can stand up to it, he will blow teams apart, as he did at GCS.
It is not all doom and gloom at Fremantle as some would have us believe.Going into the second year of what is really our first rebuild .A team of young players, led by a team of young leaders.A few more senior players and I think they will have a massive impact as well.

I guess when Ballas gets dropped to play for Peel folk can’t whinge when he kicks a bag in the finals for Peel, considering he is a Peel local eh 42 and the Subi boys?

Freez please don’t go there. You only draw the parasites who only enjoy crapping on the AFL sides here.

yes freez…I certainly have no problems with it as long as he qualifies by playing more WAFL than AFL during the season and gets over the required number of games hurdle whatever that may be next year as well as any other preconditions the useless WAFC puts in place.

Dean Cox off to the Swans.

Weren’t Geelong after him?

GWS after Mitch Honeychurch from the Doggies. That may make it easier for Fremantle to get Wilson with out giving anything away other than Crozier.
Crozier to Doggies, Honeychurch to Neeshies,Wilson to Fremantle.
Added on: Seems Wilson is confident he will be wearing Purple next year.He has bought a house close to the training facility.

The trades are finally starting to happen with Lever becoming a Demon and Devon Smith a Bomber. I think the Crows would be delighted with 2 first round picks for Lever who wanted out anyway. Also it appears that Zac Clarke has attracted interest from 5 other clubs according to his manager.

Interesting the Zac Clarke case. I don’t think Freo had any option other than delist him with his injuries. I would love to see him get on another list and be successful, he always had the potential to be a very good mobile ruckman/forward but was unable to stay injury free for long enough. Good luck to him.

Yep, hope for his sake he can do a Vardy and put in an almost injury free season at a different club.

I agree JB.He deserves a break for sure.A player with talent who has really never been able to show it.
I think the Dockers had to let him go.
I wish him all the best if he gets picked up elsewhere.
Crows would be laughing wouldn’t they, not a bad return for some one who didn’t want to be there.
Melbourne have finally said they are interested in Harley Balic. But deal will happen later in the week.
The Neeshies still playing hard ball over Wilson, but I have no doubt the deal will get done.
