The AFL are in the news for all the wrong reasons. Seems to me that some of the players think they are rock stars. Just recently, Bailey Smith, suspended for 2 weeks for snorting an illicit substance - no real penalty for a drug offence, De Goey off the rails….again, $25k suspended fine - no penalty and the 2 turkeys from Collingwood disrespecting women on social media - no penalty. Seems as though all you have to do is plead mental illness or just look as though you are genuinely sorry and off you go. Fkn joke.
Spot on 58shark. Rich entitled brats comes to mind. Also not very smart to allow their stupidity to be recorded on a social media platform
While I may be generalising, it appears that it is a Millennials thing, they cant put their phones down for more than 10 seconds so are either looking at vacuous crap on one of the unsociable media sites or posting mindless crap themselves with out thinking that filtering stuff might be a smart move. Some clubs like the Pies seem to continually tolerate this stuff and always seem to go for a paltry fine rather than suspension, especially when its one of their better players, If it was a borderline player they would have got a suspension. These guys know that everyone has a phonecam and plenty are prepared to post anything they record so it should not come as surprise that this stuff goes public. Dumb as a bag full of hammers.
that is being very harsh on the bag of hammers - they are quite useful items
