AFL Delistings/Retirements

3 Thunder players Delisted or retired from AFL Lists this week. Hopefully we see them return to the thunder if not re-listed.

Josh Schoenfeld - Gold Coast Suns
Jarvis Pina - Fremantle Dockers
Harley Bennell - Melbourne FC

are there any other thunder players in the AFL in danger of being delisted? Who else could we see at Rushton Park in 2021?

Bennell was taken to hospital in an ambulance overnight after going on a drinking binge and god knows what else. Probably why he was so quick to announce his retirement so he and the club couldn’t be fined before he went on a binge. What an idiot. Seems he’s maintained those friendships with those he got into trouble with off the field in his Gold Coast days.

Super talented but I’m not sure this bloke is worth the effort.

I don’t know much about those guys other than Harley but Peel seems to struggle to get those off AFL lists back. They need to do everything to get those guys back if they’re going to be competitive.

Are Peel having a Ressies team next year?

KCEF if they dont then the whole club should be de-registered, can almost understand they may have had difficulties given the withdrawal of the Freo players but they will have had a full year to source sufficient players before next season starts so no excuses. but it’s not beyond the WAFC to tell them not to as a prelude to dumping the entire ressies comp, I just don’t trust those pricks.

I see that in a recent JT article that Jackson Merrett is considering leaving.

Before you ask the question about returning delisted AFL players the bigger question is regarding Peel’s inability to retain and recruit local talent. Have a look at the number of ex Peel players playing at other WAFL Clubs now and in the past. They obviously took the easy route, sat back and waited for their allocation of Fremantle Players and took care of the rest of their recruitment needs with a brown paper bag.Lazy club?
They need to Go!

Absolutely on the money Wright although I can’t see it happening any time soon with super coach Sheppard signing for another two years.
