Across the grades - Early insights and predictions

Bit quiet on here of late. Now that we are a few rounds into the season, thought I’d get some predictions rolling across the grades.

A Grade - Uni and CBC setting the pace early and appear to be the early and appear to be flag fancies. North Beach, Curtin and Kingsway will likely round out the 5.

I actually don’t see the order of this ladder changing too much, Scarborough are definitely bound for B grade in 2027, and unless Baldivis start to win games, they’ll be going back down too.

Premiers - Uni

R/Up - North Beach

Relegated - Scarborough and Baldivis

B Grade - This one looks to be an exciting grade with Whitfords, Swan ath and Cockburn lakes setting the pace early, North freo are certainly thereabouts and Brentwood are starting to play some good football.

I think Melville are going straight back down and collegians may be following them if early season form is anything to go by (I do think Collies have had the harder draw though).

Premiers - Swan Ath

Runners up - Whitford

Relegated - Melville and Kalamunda

C1 - I tipped Wanneroo and Wembley to go back up in another thread, I think I won’t be too far off the mark with that prediction either. Kwinana have been doing well and getting over the line, though will reserve judgement until they’ve played the former 2.

Jandakot looking at relegation having been well beaten each week. Quinns will likely be joining them, though Forrestdale may be in a bit of trouble if the exodus of players and injury list is correct - absolutely pasted by Wanneroo yesterday.

Premiers - Wanneroo

Runners up - Wembley

Relegated - Jandakot and Forrestdale

C2 - Piara definitely looking the goods early with a lot of their colts now pushing into senior footy. Kingsley are another who have also started well, with Belmont also sitting on a 100% record.

Gosnells dropping one they would have expected to win, while CV could almost be 3 and 0 if not for last quarter fade-outs against Kingsley and Belmont.

Ballajura look to be in a world of hurt and destined for C3, while the other relegated side in Basso may also be on the way down (though they have been close in some games). Valley, Cott and Canning going ok, though not setting the world on fire early.

Premiers - Kingsley

Runners Up - Piara

Relegated - Ballajura and Basso

C3 - This one appears to have the most open of the grades, with 7 sides being capable of beating eachother on their day. Plenty of the games decided just a couple of kicks too.

Carlisle with the early form and claiming the big scalp in east freo (albeit by 2 points), while Roleystone have also started strong. Willo with easily the most stacked side finally hit their straps with a convincing win over Warnbro yesterday. I think they will go on with it from here.

Looks like only the 1 team to go down, with Ellenbrook the prime candidate and being a long way off the mark.

Premiers - Willo

Runners up - Roleystone

Relegated - Ellenbrook

C4 - High Wycombe with the big name recruits and taking all in front of them. Very hard to see anyone getting close at this stage. Have just added former West Coast Eagle Gerrick Weedon to their list and will go from strength to strength.

Cooby and Curtin easily the next best of the 2, likely the only potential challengers.

Noranda seem to be in a lot of trouble and destined for C5.

Premiers - High Wycombe

Runners Up - Cooby

Relegated - Noranda and Mt Lawley

C5 - Don’t have a lot of intel here, so only going off results and recruits.
Looks to be 2 clear frontrunners in Safety Bay and Rossmoyne, who have done it fairly easy across all games. Swan ath and Whitfords probably the next best of the rest and can certainly mount a challenge if their higher grades aren’t too decimated.

No relegation here, so won’t touch on that.

Premiers - Rossmoyne
Runners Up - Whitfords
