Surely the Suns would have to appoint a new captain after Gary Ablett asked for a trade back to Geelong,during the trade period.
It couldn’t work out with him still being captain.Who would get the slot, or maybe who would want it.
Did he ask for 2017 transfer or the following year Anchor?
DW, from what I can gather, he asked for a trade during this trade period.SO I am assuming that he wanted out of the Suns immediately.
Wanted to go home for “family reasons”, Suns refused, he only signed a 3 year contact last year. Sorry Gaz, ya chased the money, ya reap what ya sow mate.
Should have written a “Rodney Eade get out clause” in to his contract…would be a sad end to a brilliant playing career if Gaz just goes thru the motions with a ‘doomed to failure’ football club in his twilight years…not his fault the club appointed Eade
