Scarborough have made thier way to the GF after just finishing 4th.
Can they redeem themselves and win after winning every qualifying game last year and not making the GF?
Scarbs didn’t go through undefeated last year though - finished the H&A season 16-2 losing a game to both of the eventual GF sides CBC and Uni.
Good effort by Scarborough to make it into the top 4, even better to help knock out the firm premiership favourite, Curtin, in straight sets.
Sets up a great GF between too long time rivals this weekend. The PFL would be expecting a massive crowd even with rain forecast.
North Beach got the better of Scarborough during the shortened season, but hard to get a strong form line with only 1 game played between the 2 sides. I’ll back the Beach narrowly in what will be a belter of a game.
My old team CBC just can’t quite crack it. They’ve been thereabouts for years but always just fall short…must be a mentality thing.
Apologies you are correct! It seemed like they won every week as they were dominant through the H&A season.
The final score between Scarborough and North Beach wasn’t indicative of the game.
It was a hard fought match until a few mins to go.
Hopefully the GF will also be a good game.
Will this be the largest crowd at Steel Blue this season?
if they get 3k it will be, hopefully thats the case as big $$ for the bar for SD
Scarbs pretty much dominated the game ran our 27pt winners in pretty crappy conditions. Bit of a Subi old boys reunion with plenty playing, Cockie has been in a very good paddock but still knows how to smash a pack open and gave out a number of dont argues that Dusty would be proud of. Scarbs capatain coached by former Swans and Subi premiership player Wade Twomey, was one of the best on ground. Good solid grass roots footy with what looked like 2k there from what I could see on the live stream, most of those were in the can bar.
