8 spots 9 teams

The last two weeks of the AFL season promise more fascinating football. 9 teams battling for 8 spots and its going to be cut throat. Incredible to think that the Dockers with 15 wins could still miss the finals if they lose both their last two games. Carlton finished 8th with 13 wins last season!
Heres where all 9 teams stand

Adelaide 64 142% Games to come Collingwood , North Melbourne. After that scare from the Eagles yesterday they should finish top 2 and get 2 home finals
Geelong 60 139% next games Sydney , Richmond. Sydney might test them but still should finish top 4 if not top 2
Collingwood 60 124.2 next Adelaide, Melbourne, Lost 4 out of their last 5 games. Should make finals but in danger of dropping out of top 4 unless they beat Adelaide
Fremantle 60 112.7 next Brisbane, Bulldogs Have won 11 of their last 12 but are still vulnerable because of their lower percentage. Massive game v Brisbane this week
Brisbane 58 111.3 next Fremantle, Hawthorn Need 1 win to ensure finals. Percentage is irrelevant because of the draw
Suns 56 125% next GWS, Port Adelaide, Essendon. Have an extra game so almost certain to make finals. Will make the top 4 if they win all 3
Hawthorn 56 121.2 Next Melbourne, Brisbane. If they beat Melbourne they might sneak in on percentage
GWS 56 114.1 next Gold Coast, St Kilda. Massive game against Gold Coast this week. Lose that and they could be in trouble
Bulldogs 52 135.4, next Eagles, Fremantle. Assuming they beat the Eagles, the game against the Dockers could be an elimination final if the other results go a certain way. Their percentage is worth an extra game to them

I am not sure that there has ever been a tighter finish to the AFL season.
I still think Freo stay in the top eight.
If I was betting man, I would be backing the Freo boys to win this one.But they need to be turned on all game.
The Dees were a massive chance to make Freos run a bit better.

I was there Anchor and it was a great contest. The Dees really took it up to the Doggies after a slow start and they probably should have won in the end. Just a couple of brilliant individual efforts won it for the Western Bulldogs. From what I saw yesterday I think the Dockers have the Dogs covered if it comes to the last game, not over impressed with them although Freo have made a habit of giving their supporters heart failure with some of these nail biting last minute victories, including a few days ago in Adelaide.
Hopefully they can go deep into September for Nat Fyfe who announced his retirement today

Two vital games coming up for the boys. But win Friday night, they are safe in the eight.Win both who knows just where they finish.
Can’t afford to go to sleep after one good quarter in either of the two remaning games.
What a great soldier and leader Fyfe has been for the club. A shining light.Joins the legends of the club, and who is wrong if they put him above Pav and Mundy.
Who knows just whwt he would have had had he not had those bad injuries.

Am I right in believing that the Bulldogs have WC and then Freo - both home games for them? Gee the Vic’s get looked after.

Yep that is correct.
The Boys Club prevails every time.

They will have to be at their absolute best to beat Brisbane AM. The Lions will be filthy after their loss to Sydney and will want to rebound quickly. I think they will miss their onfield general Lachie Neale and this may make the difference.
