4th Test Melbourne

He knew. He stopped, but Neser kept coming. Green had no other option.

Plenty of green grass on the wicket
Weather a bit cooler than anticipated.
First 3 days sold out. With 1/3 of spectators on their first visit to the Mcg.

@gtrxuone Does it go three days though!.
Yeah , poor batting.

England’s eyes lit up when they started bowling on that green top
must have taken them back home to Edgebaston & Trent Bridge
for a little while anyway
so much nip off the seam all day long

Can’t say both sides arent entertaining…rather a 20 wicket day then a 350 run day for fudge all wickets…especially when I haven’t bought a ticket…some nervous punters with day 3 tickets and beyond.

Was it Neser’s call?

No forward of the wicket.

Insane days cricket. I felt that the deck had too much in it for the bowlers although there was some pretty ordinary batting too. Not sure if its going to get much easier tomorrow so will probably need a counter attacking knock from Head or one of the other Aussie batsman to set England a decent target. The final straw in a completely bonkers day was the sight of Boland opening the batting as a night watchman and playing out the last over of the day. Pretty inspired move by the management as there was really nothing to lose

Dont think so AM
Recon all the grass will be mowed off tommorow, morning.
Then the heavy roller. To kill the grass.
England have been on the turps. From the moment they arrived in AU.
Recon our boys had a blinder after Adelaide.

Wouldn,t think they can mow the wicket once play is under way @gtrxuone .
Roller only I would think.

This test series is a reflection of where cricket has come to since this pyjama 20/20 shit started.

Never seen so much shit batting in my life. Watched a bit of the scorchers game tonight. Batsmen just don’t value their wicket anymore. The way Head got out, so casual like it didn’t matter. Did Carey set the field for Stokes and ask the bowler to put it just outside leg stump and I’ll hit a gentle one to leg slip?

Then Marsh tonight is cracking them like a master then just plays a hack shot. It’s infectious others follow because it’s the new norm.

This series has turned into a traveling circus. :circus_tent:

Not even Ali Bacher could pull that one.

Eh Bill(Larry)?

2 Wickets in the 1st Hour, one after the Night watchman did his job,the other puts that player under the Pump.

I don’t know what gloves Labuchagne and a few others wear these days, but blimey, they have to be inferior to the ones, this mediocre performer here wore.

I know my gloves took a few hits in my school days, but I had nothing to worry about, bruise or injury wise,as the gloves worked wonderfully well.

Head got a life, after yet another dropped catch by England,….I lost count long ago.

And Atkinson’s off with a Hamstring complaint, meaning England are without a key Bowler.

Australia should make Hay,but will they?

Warner has Stokes set on a pedestal. Not even lunch on day two , I reckon he has called him a genius at least 30 times.

Labuchagne, although unluckily given out, when the doubt should have been given in his favour, played a feeble shot in the process.

As did Carey.

Head was actually beaten by a peach.

Usman can start planning his Retirement Speeches.Surely the Sydney Wicket is a Dead one,to see him off in style?

Pretty ordinary batting by Australia, though credit to England with very good bowling to get the Wickets.

Can Green last an Over before Lunch, before trying to start the process to help build a better lead and steadying his place in the side,in the process?

Yes,albeit via a dodgy shot through Gully for 4.

Next step,a Big Partnership with the Captain,……

How on earth Renshaw didnt get picked for this series ahead of either Weatherald & Khawaja is mind boggling!

No doubt the Khawaja apologists will say he ā€œgot a good oneā€ :joy:

I thought the pitch in Perth was poor but this one takes the cake! It is an absolute disgrace. You can’t blame the batting for this when mediocre bowlers like Carse are looking unplayable. Why the curator left so much grass on the pitch I will never know. Having said that I think that Green needs to have a spell. His dismissal was as soft as butter

Even though there is 2 half days to go.
Cant see England trying to grind the runs out. They will try and Bazz Ball the way to victory.
Belief being that a good ball will probably get you out.So if you only will face around 30 balls at best.
So far first 3 in̈nings.22 balls per wicket.
