A good man from Swans reminded me yesterday about that Wonderful Day in the Sun at Lathlain.
We wouldn’t have thought about it at Half Time, after Swans carved us up to lead by 38 points at the main break.
But he just turned it on from there, leading the Demons to a Sensational 1 point Victory.
I’ve said it before, but the roof must have come off the PJ Fogarty - EW Jones Grandstand, when Len(Waldock Jnr)blew The Final Siren.
Super Day to be a Demon, thanks in big part to Stazza and a Great Team effort in the 2nd Half that day,April 26,1986.

Yes, I think a few of us discussed this game on this forum a few months ago. Was it six or seven Stasinowsky kicked in the last quarter? I remember Kevin Taylor’s shot at goal sail out of bounds on the full with only seconds to go…
40 years?…I feel old.
Yeah,same here!
But things like that can cheer one up,even lovers of footy supporting Swans.
Little things like Colts and Ressies just Winning can cheer up the Diehards, after a hard day at the League Office.
Hopefully,we get to see Tyrone Hart’s Screamer he took last night.A potential excitement machine is this fella.
Same for Jaymason Ketchup and Glorie Baraka grabbed the attention of spectators with 2 exciting Goals in The Final Quarter.

odb101, I’m thinking that “good man from Swans” might be the author of “Stazza: The Football Career of Chris Stasinowsky”, which is a really terrific read, irrespective of which club one supports.
I also saw Rick at Lathlain yesterday - it’s a shame that Swans couldn’t get over the line for him at the same venue today.

Yeah,same here Archie.
We had a good yarn about that day.
There was an East Perth Supporter I completely forgot about(Sorry my dear lady
).
So a phone call might be in order tomorrow.

Amazingly, both Perth and Swans kicked 20-plus goals in the “Stazza game”, ODB101, a rarity these days the way the modern game is played.
Yes Mate.
I appreciate Coaches have to plan game tactics according to each opponent, but I’m sure they understand that even now, footy fans of all ages earned for ALL OUT ATTACK!
I was a mere follower of the Demons in '76/77,so I only saw the odd game before seeing more from '78.
I really do envy the Demons Supporters who saw the Red and Blacks rack up the big scores, time after time in those 2 years,CLOBBERING the Opposition in the process!
I had to make do with the Replays on Saturday Nights and Sunday Mornings, which were a joy to watch, but not quite as good seeing it in the Flesh!
In '86,whilst having a Percentage of just under 100 for the Season,we often felt we had the best Firepower in our Forward for years,to Win and Win Often!
And we did.Poor old Swans were used to piling on the Scores(often in Cricket Proportions)against the Demons from late '78 to Mid '85.
But for that year, the boot was on the other foot, with the Demons kicking 21 on each occassion, though it was close twice in Perth’s Home Fixtures, with the Margins being 1 and 2 points respectively.
Not sure why Swannies fell a fair way short at Basso(39 points),but this young fella felt quite smug(to be honest)about that one.
