Certainly did, plenty of passengers, Higgins looked a bit out of it, not sure if he is 100% - conditions didnt suit our talls, Rioli wasnt see for 3 Qrts had a bit of go in the last but that faded away as well. Scholite had a crack early but was trying to carry a heap of others.
ark it started a month before.after a great second half against a undermanned subi souths have been coasting.they have had to work overtime in the last quarter to shake of swans, peel and east perth.last week and i will put it in the words of the west the decision to rest a trio of defenders luff, maskos and wilson and flirt with form for the final home and away round against the demons might have come back to bite them.they were inept in the last quarter against the demons and looks like it carried over against claremont.i wouldn’t write them off with a few to come back but i would be happy if the tigers win the premiership.

chaddy – thanks, some good observations, which I was unaware of, too. I have never understood why coaches want to ‘rest’ players, or for that matter, put players in different positions; I will be interested to see what happens to the boss should his players fail him next week.
well all I can offer is that we just had the big bad one we were that poor - congratulations to Claremont on winning and advancing the easy way to the Grand Final thoroughly deserved too on Sunday
so we get a cut-throat examination this weekend to earn any re-match sort of thing and it will be a tough one now
hopefully it is the punch in the snout we needed
That was supposed to be last week at Lathlain, maybe they need two.
From outside it looked like the Perth game was a going through the motions, dont get injured affair which seems to have really taken the edge off the players going by the effort in the 2nd semi. WP will be on a real high after coming from behind to beat a very good effort by Perth. If your boys aren’t switched on from the first bounce and Joondy get a fast start they are very hard to peg back, very much a confidence team, we found that out in the last H & A game.
Southerner,
Your boys have not been at their best since the Peel game to be fair, it took you a while to shake them, Swans and for 3 qtrs against EP they had your measure until the barn storming finish, Perth beat you and Claremont took you apart. Your boys are well and truly due against my boys…

Spot on SS, what is very concerning is that our past two finals we have been totally outplayed and smashed. The answer from the club has been on both occasions " everything went wrong/we didn’t show up"
So whats the answer? Only Sunday will tell us a guess…
There will definitely be a few changes this week. Todd said who didn’t play this week is in line for a call up. We have to roll the dice and give the x factor a go.
Looking at the stats you definitely lost it in the midfield with 23 I50’s to 49 or similar and 9 scoring shots to 21. The likes of Suban and Dragovich were very quiet so that’s where Curley needs to go to work this week or else Black, Manzone and Nelson will tear you a new one.
simple fact is we could not cover the outs and Claremont took full advantage of it killing us particularly through the guts - it’s 50/50 two horse race in any game and we dropped our chance
reward for that is a big task this week
southerner: South’s record against WP in finals has been bad since 60, as you know, hopefully you can turn it around in front of the home crowd.
for sure mate and there aren’t any excuses to be made for that either - up to the playing group now but we will have one SF debutant this week in the form of Cody Ninyette
and should regain a couple of others as well

We got smashed in the centre, from there it was one way traffic, the defence played a finger in the dyke just trying to grab a mark or a spoil to stop the flow, but the possesion and inside 50s tell the story.
You are right about Suban was down all day, Higgins much the same.
